FUN CRITICAL THINKING & LEARNING! Our fun class-activity sessions and "brain training" day camps for K-12 use various strategy games to develop critical thinking and problem-solving abilities, equipping students for more successful futures. Students enjoy learning tactics and techniques that they can apply in other areas of their life -- leading to better grades and a less stressful experience when completing homework assignments, as they remember more information and are able to retain it and recall it with greater ease. These groups and activities help build memory, thinking speed, and accuracy, including learning from mistakes and turning them into positive life lessons. WHAT BRAIN POWERS PARENTS EXPERIENCE:

While their students have fun learning, problem-solving, and strategizing during our innovative class-activity sessions offering extended formats, Parents are able to take advantage of the time to complete errands with nearby access to numerous amenities, or they are able to enjoy the afternoon/evening with friends! HEADS-UP: Students often ask to stay longer to "...finish this game" &/or "...play one more round"!! "BRAIN TRAINING" DAY CAMPS (weekends, Summer, holiday breaks)

We are proud to offer Intellectual Activity Camps where students develop their critical thinking skills, problem-solving skills, and other BRAIN-ABILITIES through a wide variety of strategy-based games, challenging puzzles, STEM based projects and demonstrations, and other depth-of-thought exercises! ♟️ Friday Night Rapid Chess with BRAIN POWERS!♟️
What a night!!! We had an incredible 37 players join us for our Friday Night Rapid Chess Tournament on Friday, September 18th! The room was full of chess, competition, concentration, and plenty of great energy. 🔥♟️

And this video gives you a look at both sides of what makes our tournaments special!

🎥 Part 1: The Tournament Floor
Take a walk through the action and see our players battling it out across the boards. From experienced competitors to rising young players, there was plenty of great chess being played!

🎲 Part 2: Our Skittles Room
This is where we do things a little differently.

Instead of having students sit around quietly between games with nothing to do, we have a dedicated Skittles Room where players can relax, socialize, and challenge themselves with a variety of other strategy and brain games.

♟️ Chess may be the main event, but we believe strategic thinking doesn't have to stop when you step away from the chessboard!

Our Skittles Room gives students an opportunity to:

🧠 Keep their minds engaged between rounds
🎯 Play other strategy, logic, and puzzle games
🤝 Socialize and make new friends
🎲 Have fun in a relaxed environment
⚡ Keep their brains active instead of simply sitting around waiting for the next round

It’s one of the things that makes our tournaments unique. We want tournament day to be about more than just playing chess — we want it to be a fun, engaging experience for the entire player.

Our chess classes at Brain Powers are currently FULL, so we’re excited to open up some new opportunities for families! 🎉

In addition to our chess classes, we are now Introducing Mind Sports — a fun, hands-on class where students learn a variety of strategy games and puzzles outside of chess. Students learn the rules, tactics, and strategies behind each game while developing skills like critical thinking, problem-solving, planning, and decision-making that translate into real-life situations.

We’re now offering FREE TRIAL CLASSES at our main location:
