Kerry Vaughan, MD, a neurosurgeon at and a member of the team, was recently featured by Angkor Hospital for Children (AHC) in Siem Reap, , for her work.
The article highlighted the beginning of her journey in Uganda, her contributions to the World Health Organization (WHO)'s spina bifida prevention efforts, and her current work on a resolution encouraging governments worldwide to commit to tracking and treating traumatic brain injuries.

Dr. Vaughan was impressed by the teamwork, communication, and uses of technology in AHC's operating room. She hopes to incorporate that knowledge here at Barrow and at Kilimanjaro Christian Medical Centre - KCMC, a partner site of Barrow located in Tanzania.
