I've been teaching fitness classes in the Hudson Valley for over 15 years. During this time, I've opened my own gym, then later a successful yoga & fitness studio. Now, I'm kicking back in Montgomery, doing what I love most: teaching yoga, Pilates and pole and building a positive-thinking community.

Stretches the sides of the body — Opens the intercostal muscles between the ribs, creating more space for breathing.

Improves flexibility — Lengthens the spine, hips, hamstrings, and inner thighs.

Enhances breathing capacity — By opening the chest and rib cage, it can encourage deeper, fuller breaths.

Strengthens the core — Engages the abdominal and oblique muscles to support balance and stability.

Promotes better posture — Encourages spinal alignment and awareness of body positioning.

REVERSE CAMEL POSE by Melissa M

Stretches the front of the body — opens the chest, shoulders, abdomen, and hip flexors.

Improves spinal mobility — encourages extension of the thoracic and lumbar spine when practiced with proper form.

Strengthens postural muscles — engages the back, glutes, and legs to support the backbend.
May improve posture — helps counteract the rounded-shoulder position that can develop from prolonged sitting.

Expands the chest area — which some practitioners find helps them breathe more deeply and comfortably.
