There is a specific kind of peace that comes with a warm room on a cold night. For the women at the Sunflower House, that warmth is more than a utility; it is a physical embrace. It tells them they are safe, they are seen, and they are finally home.

Behind every "bloom" at the Sunflower House is a team of dedicated "gardeners"—our volunteers and staff who provide the steady presence and Christ-centered love our residents need to feel safe.

But the hardest work happens within the residents themselves. As Sharlene often says, we are so proud of how these women "work really hard to stay in their fight." Growth isn't always easy, and it isn't always fast, but with the right care and a secure foundation, it is always possible.
