Flexibility Friday at Alliance Physical Therapy is all about restoring movement and reducing stiffness through intentional mobility work. Today’s focus: the Half‑Kneeling Thoracic Spine Rollover is a simple but powerful drill to open the upper back and improve rotation.
Set up in a half‑kneeling position, brace your core, and rotate through your thoracic spine while keeping the ribs down. Move slowly, breathe through the range, and let the motion come from your upper back not your lower back.
This exercise helps counter the effects of sitting, slouching, and forward‑heavy training, improving overhead mobility and spinal control. Stay consistent, move with intention, and finish your Friday feeling better than you started right here at Alliance Physical Therapy.
