Mohs surgery provides the highest cure rate for skin cancer while preserving the most normal tissue possible, for optimal cosmetic results. This patient saw us for a Mohs surgery to treat a squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) on the upper lip. The upper photo shows the area after the skin cancer was removed. The lower photo shows the patient at his 6 month follow-up appointment, with great lip symmetry, nearly invisible scar, and no skin cancer.
