Orforglipron — a once-daily oral GLP-1 pill from Eli Lilly — is showing promising results in Phase 3 clinical trials. Participants lost an average of 12.4% of body weight (about 27 lbs) over 72 weeks, along with improvements in cholesterol, blood pressure, and other heart health markers.

If approved, this treatment could make medical weight loss more convenient and accessible than ever. An FDA regulatory filing is expected by late 2025.
