67 years of love, laughter and life together. ❤️

At Blue Bell Place, resident Joe and his wife, Claire, recently celebrated an incredible milestone: 67 years of marriage.

More than six decades together means a lifetime of memories, shared adventures, growing together and countless moments that make a life well lived.

We’re honored to celebrate special milestones like this with our residents and their loved ones, and even more honored to be part of the communities where these stories continue to unfold.

Congratulations, Joe and Claire! Here’s to 67 wonderful years and many more memories to come. 🥂❤️

Good food takes time, and Chef Lonny Levin knows it’s worth the wait. 🔥🍖

At Blue Bell Place, Chef Lonny recently put that philosophy into practice, smoking pork for nine and a half hours over hickory wood and seasoning it with a flavorful BBQ rub.

The result was tender, smoky, delicious pork that gave residents something special to look forward to at mealtime.

It’s a great example of the care our culinary teams bring to the table every day. From the time and technique that go into preparing a dish to the joy it brings when it reaches the dining room, our chefs are always finding ways to make mealtime meaningful.

Thank you, Chef Lonny, for putting in the time, skill and heart to create a meal our residents could truly enjoy. ❤️

When Shawn says he’s bringing in some extra support… apparently, he means the four-legged kind. 😂🐐 At The Watermark at Bellevue, Executive Director Shawn brought a few new “team members” to Watermark University, and they quickly became the stars of the show.

Straight from the farm, these adorable baby goats spent some time visiting with residents and associates, bringing plenty of smiles, laughter and a little extra fun to the day.

We’re not sure what was in their job descriptions, but they definitely delivered when it came to team morale. 😉 10/10 support team. We’d absolutely hire them again.

What’s the secret to living a long, happy life? According to Dorothy Nagy, it might be simpler than you think. 👀

Dorothy recently celebrated her 96th birthday at Watersound Fountains, and she shared her secrets to longevity with WJHG-TV.

Her recipe? Good food. Good friends. Staying active. Keeping your mind engaged. And treating people the way you want to be treated.

And Dorothy is still putting those words into practice. She exercises every morning, reads, plays cards and, perhaps most importantly, stays connected with the people around her.

After 96 years, she just might be onto something. ❤️

“What’s one piece of advice you would give women today?”

We asked the women of The Watermark at Southpark Meadows, and their answers say a lot about what a lifetime of experience can teach us.

There’s something special about hearing advice directly from women who have lived through different generations, watched the world change and learned a few things along the way. These are the kinds of conversations that make life in a senior living community so meaningful.

Watch their answers, then tell us yours: What advice would you give women today?

Music, culture and community came together for a beautiful afternoon at The Hacienda Mission San Luis Rey. 🎶

Residents gathered for a flute circle led by the captain of the local Luiseño tribe and a fellow tribal member, filling the community with peaceful melodies and a meaningful connection to the area’s Indigenous heritage.

Moments like these are a wonderful reminder that there are so many ways to learn, connect and make memories together.

Food has the power to bring people together, create connection and preserve a sense of independence and dignity. That was on full display at the Parkinson's Foundation Pacific Northwest HOPE Conference, where our team from The Watermark at Bellevue had the opportunity to share Watermark’s Gourmet Bites Cuisine with nearly 200 people living with Parkinson’s, along with their families, caregivers and advocates. 💙

Gourmet Bites transforms freshly prepared meals into beautiful, flavorful, protein-rich one- and two-bite portions that can be enjoyed by hand, helping individuals experiencing cognitive, neuromuscular or physical challenges maintain greater independence at the table.

A special shoutout to Chef Sam Litvak and Dining Manager Danny Brooks, who brought Gourmet Bites to life at the conference. Their passion for creating food that is not only nutritious, but also enjoyable and dignified, was truly inspiring. 👏🏻🍽️

We’re also proud of Karen Lucas, Kristie Callihan and Alma Lara, who spent the day connecting with attendees, serving Gourmet Bites and experiencing those unforgettable moments when someone takes a bite and says, “WOW, this is really good!”

That’s what extraordinary living looks like: thoughtful innovation, meaningful connection and associates who care deeply about the people they serve.

Thank you to the Northwest Parkinson’s Foundation for creating a space centered on education, resources, connection and, most importantly, hope.

Would you take on the rapids? 🚣‍♂️

Residents at The Watermark at the Pearl recently traded calm waters for adventure, braving the Deschutes River at Seventh Mountain Resort! With paddles in hand and plenty of courage, our group took on thrilling class 3 rapids—proving that age is just a number when it comes to living boldly.

From laughter on the water to unforgettable memories, this outing was all about connection, excitement, and embracing new experiences together.
