Crazy as it seems, my "Home Audience" was deaf 🔇 (had no audio, yet they saw the presentation 👀) this slide,
while my "Zoom Audience" was blind 🙈 (and heard the narrative only 🎧) ...
totally accidentally 💥 ...
then when I was told ...
IT BLEW MY MIND!!! 🤯🤯🤯
This is an "OPEN LETTER" to fellow classmate: Christina Barkley (a "blind" attendee) for her testimony 👏 of my Birthday FUNeral presentation ⚰️🎉:
"Christina,
Seeing your reaction truly means the world to me 🌎✨.
Looking back at how that slide landed with a deaf 🔇 and blind 🙈 audience, I still get chills 🥶⚡.
It felt like some strange, beautiful glitch in the matrix 🔮💻
—the universe quietly stepping in to let them viscerally taste 👅🔥 what my life experience has been like,
completely bypassing the ordinary rules of engagement 🌀
before I even fully grasped what was happening 🤯.
I feel entirely unworthy 🙇♂️
.. of having been the vessel for such a freakish, magnificent alignment ✨🌌,
yet I am profoundly humbled 🙏 and aware that something deeply spiritual took place in that room 🕯️🕊️.
Thank you for holding space for that magic 🪄 and for doing the extraordinary work that you do 🌟.
I am simply honoured to be anywhere near your orbit 🪐✨.
Sincerely establishing relationships 🤝,
Jaime
~~~~ Christina's Message to me ~~~~
""Attending Jaime's Good Life ~ Good Death Cabaret on Zoom was an unexpectedly profound experience. Due to a technical glitch, our Zoom audience had no video feed—we only had Jaime’s voice.
At first, it felt like being read a bedtime story, but as the evening unfolded, I realised something remarkable was happening.
When Jaime shared his college experiences—immersing himself in campus life with the Disabled Students Association bound, deafened, and blind—the medium reflected the message entirely. While the in-person room experienced the visuals in silence, we on Zoom were navigating his story blindly, relying solely on his voice, narrative, and presence.
Without intending to, Jaime created an accidental masterclass in radical empathy. It was an unforgettable lesson in accessibility, human connection, and deep listening. Jaime has a extraordinary gift for turning any moment into a meaningful, transformative experience."
