Today we honor those law enforcement officers who gave their lives in service to our communities and nation. May 15 was designated as Peace Officers' Memorial Day by President John F. Kennedy to recognize the ultimate sacrifice made by those wearing the weight of the badge. Today we honor all of them, their families, and coworkers.
