Many people think persistent knee pain after a knee replacement means they simply have to “live with it” or face another surgery. But that’s not always the case.

At Champlain Valley Vascular Surgery, we are now scheduling and performing Genicular Artery Embolization (G*E) for select patients who continue to experience pain after a knee replacement or who have developed recurrent pain years after their original surgery.

G*E is a minimally invasive outpatient procedure performed right in our office-based angiography suite. By targeting abnormal blood flow and inflammation around the knee, G*E may help reduce pain and improve mobility without another major operation or long recovery.
