Sarcoma is the "forgotten cancer" because of its rarity. It begins in the bones and soft tissues, making early detection and proper diagnosis vital to improve outcomes.
Sacomas account for 1% of all adult cancers and 15% of childhood cancers. There are more than 70-different subtypes of sarcoma. Help us to educate, support and raise money for research for this rare type of cancer!
Our connection here at Focus Physical Therapy is with our Founder, Peggy Huhn. She has been battling Sarcoma for the last few years and recently discovered that her sarcoma had returned. She has started treatments and updates her Caringbridge page (Peggy Huhn) which is open to the public.
To raise awareness even further, Peggy has joined the Race to Cure Sarcoma in Milwaukee in July with her team "Fork Wanda". This event consists of a 5k or 1-mile walk.
During the entire month of June, we are collecting our Jeans for a Cause donations for their team!! Help support her, her team and all the people who are battling this as well.
