🍎 Fun Times at Cornerstone!

It was another fun-filled week at Cornerstone! Our Word Mining crew went apple picking—well, word picking! 🍎 Using “Apple Orchard,” they found an impressive 116 words!

At Ladies Coffee, we played Would You Rather? and got some pretty interesting answers. You never know what you’re going to learn about your friends!

Manicure day was a hit, with Julia helping pamper our residents with beautiful nails. Thanks, Julia! 💅

Our summer drive included a sweet stop in Excelsior for a special ice cream treat before heading home. 🍦

Laura filled in for Prize Bingo and brought some wonderful fall decorations for prizes, including a cozy blanket for the Coverall winner. 🍂

Friday Farkle continues to grow, with new players joining the fun. The more, the merrier!

Saturday brought cloudy skies and a smaller group for our Arboretum drive, but our residents proved once again that they’re always up for a ride. 🚐🌳 Sometimes it’s just nice to get out and enjoy the scenery!

🌻 Saturday Fun at Cornerstone!

Saturday started out a little rainy, but Mother Nature decided to cooperate just in time for our Arboretum adventure! 🌦️ We headed out for a beautiful three-mile drive and were lucky enough to spot several turkeys and geese along the way. It was a wonderful afternoon to get out, enjoy the scenery, and do a little wildlife watching!

Later in the day, it was BINGO time! 🎉 We got an exciting update to our Bingo board with bigger numbers, making them much easier to see. We even got to choose the voice for our Bingo caller—and the group voted for the male voice! 🎤

We had a great group, lots of smiles, and a fun afternoon of Bingo. What a wonderful way to wrap up the week! ❤️

Another Full Week at Cornerstone!

It was another full and fun week at Cornerstone! In Word Mining, residents put their thinking caps on and found an amazing 81 words from the phrase “Bouquet of Flowers.” 🌸

Tuesday was voting day, and we were proud to have one of our residents head out to vote in the primary. It was wonderful to see her participate in the voting process!

For crafts this week, we created beautiful sunflowers using petals and real sunflower seeds. 🌻 They turned out so cheerful and perfect for summer!

Our summer drive took us to Baker Park, where we enjoyed the beautiful scenery along with a special treat. It was a lovely way to get out and enjoy the summer weather. 🚐☀️

Prize Bingo was extra fun this week as we celebrated Relaxation Month with a special prize. Our residents always enjoy a little bingo and a little pampering!

We were also excited to receive beautiful flowers from Trader Joe’s. Residents made their own bouquets to brighten up their rooms. 💐 A little fresh color goes a long way!

We finished the week with our favorite Friday Farkle Fun! 🎲 It was the perfect way to wrap up another busy week at Cornerstone.

Another fun and busy week at Cornerstone!

In Word Mining, we tackled the phrase “Cruise Ship Buffet” and found an amazing 165 words! Gotta love those S’s!

Our Oasis group enjoyed some friendly competition with a game of bean bag toss. At Ladies Coffee, we were back to our alphabet game with categories such as things you might find in a purse, things you pack for a vacation, things you’d take on a picnic, and girls’ names.

Manicures are becoming a big hit, with many residents enjoying getting their nails trimmed and polished. We also headed out for our summer drive toward the lake and made a stop for a cool ice cream treat. And, of course, it’s always nice to get out for some shopping—this week’s destination was Target.

Our Friday Farkle group continues to grow, and we even had to add another table to fit everyone! We finished the week with a trip to the Arboretum, enjoying their beautiful three-mile drive.

Another great week filled with activities, laughter, and plenty of fun!

Nite to Unite 2026...We had an Amazing turn out last night as our Residents, Families, Friends and Neighbors celebrated this wonderful event. We had close to 200 people attend.
One of our Residents- Gary and his family brought in their old cars for all to enjoy. We had great music thanks to Jim Kirkendall and of course wonderful food! We are so blessed to be part of this awesome community😊
A huge thank you to all who helped make this event happen!

Another fun-filled week at Cornerstone!

We were proud to show off our excellent exercise group, and residents also enjoyed a few games of Wii bowling to practice for more strikes. Our Oasis group had a great time playing balloon volleyball—always a favorite that brings plenty of smiles and laughter.

At Ladies Coffee, everyone enjoyed sharing memories about their first jobs, favorite family vacations, and favorite subjects in school. Coloring Club was a little quieter this week, with one beautiful masterpiece completed. During our craft time, residents created colorful Perler bead magnets by arranging beads into fun patterns and then ironing them together to make keepsakes for their refrigerators. Our Oasis group also enjoyed a relaxing coloring session.

Our summer drive took us around the lake, with a stop halfway for a delicious ice cream treat. We continued the sweet theme with our weekly ice cream social, where Tipsy Banana ice cream was a big hit!

We wrapped up the week with a full bus for Saturday’s trip to the Arboretum, followed by a lively game of bingo to end another wonderful week together.

Another fun week at Cornerstone! Our Word Mining group found an impressive 129 words from the phrase “Lazy Days of Summer.” At Ladies Coffee, we tried a new game called This or That, where everyone answered fun questions such as, “Sunrise or sunset?”

Coloring Club was filled with bright summer pictures as residents enjoyed getting creative. After a week without our bus for outings, we were happy to get back on the road. On Friday, we took a trip to Trader Joe’s, and on Saturday we enjoyed a beautiful drive to the Minnesota Arboretum to take in the summer scenery.

We wrapped up the week with a lively game of Candy Bingo, a sweet way to end another great week!
