David Thomas Majerowski, 67, of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, passed away on July 13, 2026, in Jonesboro, Arkansas.
He was born on July 13, 1959, in Schenectady, New York, to Stanley Majerowski and Sheila (Brady) Majerowski. In September of 1986, David married Amanda Moss.
David enjoyed taking pictures of whatever caught his eye at the moment. He was a political activist for Bernie Sanders and would spread his word to anyone that would listen. David especially enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
David is survived by his loving wife, Amanda Majerowski; one son, Eric Andrew Majerowski; one sister Sarah Venne, and one niece, Krystina Venne. He is proceeded in death by his parents, Stanley and Sheila Majerowski. A host of family and friends survive.

Judith A Von Gruenigen, born on June 22, 1940 in E. St. Louis, Illinois, passed away peacefully at home with family on July 13, 2026 in Poplar Bluff, MO at the age of 86. Judy was preceded in death by her parents Gordon and Marcell Klaus and her sister Jane Bantel. She is survived by her children Teresa Rodgers (Dave), Charles Von Gruenigen Jr. (Tina), Pam Williams (Charles) and granddaughter Tara Sculley (Kenneth). She was known for her caring nature and her ability to form deep and lasting relationships. Judy had a deep love of animals and found joy in the simple pleasures in life, particularly her love of playing bingo. Per her request, no services will be held to commemorate Judy's life. However, in honor of her memory, contributions can be made to the ASPCA or your local Humane Society. These organizations align with Judy's passion for supporting animal welfare causes. She will be deeply missed by family, friends and all of those who had the pleasure of knowing her. May her memory be a source of comfort and inspiration to those who mourn her loss.

Douglas Lynn Pennington
February 21, 1948 — June 25, 2026
Douglas Lynn Pennington, age 78, of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, passed away on June 25,
2026, in St. Louis, Missouri.
He was born on February 21, 1948, in Corning, Arkansas, to Virgil Isaac Pennington and
Jewell Marie (McKinley) Pennington. Following high school, Doug served two tours of
duty during the Vietnam War with the United States Navy Seabees (the U.S. Navy
Construction Battalion). Doug exemplified the Seabee motto, “Can Do,” throughout his
life. From his Seabee experience, he built a life as a row-crop farmer, cattle farmer,
equipment operator, and truck driver. Doug never encountered a vehicle or piece of
equipment he could not drive or operate. He enjoyed leather crafting as well as reading
and studying God’s Word.
Doug is survived by his chosen family, including his partner, Cathy Womack of Poplar
Bluff; her children, Michelle (Glenn Rapert) Wilkerson of Poplar Bluff, Garry (Jessica)
Wilkerson of Doniphan, and Justin (Taylor) Tatum of Poplar Bluff; and grandchildren:
Trevor Rapert, Isaac Rapert, Glenn Rapert, Ben Rapert, Sarena Wilkerson, Audrey (Austin
Castle) Wilkerson, Garry (Hannah) Wilkerson, Jaden Billings, Jalen Young, Sydney
Turner, Brantly Tatum, and Blake Tatum.
Doug is also survived by a daughter, Traci (Chuck) Reinbott of Poplar Bluff; four
grandchildren: Paige Reinbott and Payton Reinbott, both of Poplar Bluff; Melody (Justin)
Newton of Conway, Arkansas, and Grady Pennington of Jonesboro, Arkansas; one
brother, Clifton Pennington of Conway, Arkansas; a niece, Kim (Dallas) Snider of
Pensacola, Florida; a nephew, John (Melanie) Pennington of Conway, Arkansas; and
three great-nieces.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Virgil and Jewell Pennington; his son, Chad
Douglas Pennington; and his uncle and close friend, Leon McKinley.
A committal service with military honors will be held on Friday, July 24, 2026, at 9:00
a.m. at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, Missouri. Family and friends are
welcome to attend.
A celebration of Doug's life will be hosted by his chosen family on August 8, 2026, at
5:00 p.m. at the Chamber of Commerce in Poplar Bluff, Missouri.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Neelyville R-IV School

Jessica Nadine Thrasher Baucom, 84, of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, passed away on Wednesday, July 15, 2026.
She was born on June 26, 1942, in Texas, to William “Bill” Morales and Etlyl (Gardner) Morales.
Nadine enjoyed canning her vegetables from her garden, painting, sewing, crocheting. She also raised cattle, pigs, and sheep. Her favorite time of the week was Sunday family dinners.
Nadine is survived by one son, Donald Lee Thrasher; two daughters, Barbara (Larry) Simpson, and Donna (Norman) Mikels; one brother, Bobby Morales; ten grandchildren, Bill Peterson, Jr., Blinda Duncan, Norman Mikel, Jr., Sandra Renee Haldeman, Johnathon Thrasher, David Perkins, Paul Dalton, Mathew Dalton, Amy Everett, and Donna Fair; several great grandchildren; and many great great grandchildren. She was proceeded in death by his parents, Bill and Etlyl Morales; one daughter, Tina Dalton; and one grandchild, Bruce Peterson. A host of family and friends survive.

Gregory Dewayne Davis, 48, of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, passed away on June 24, 2026.
He was born on February 08, 1978, in Poplar Bluff, Missouri, to Luther Walton and Jacquelyn Davis.
Gregory enjoyed going fishing, playing computer games, debating, listening to music and playing music in the marching band. He loved spending time with his family and friends.
Gregory is survived by his father, Luther Walton; his mother, Jacquelyn Davis; one son, Diontay Davis; one daughter, Rashayla Davis; three brothers, Robert Davis, Carlos Blackman, Luther Walton, Jr.; and two sisters, Sydney Davis, and Cherish Walton. He is preceded in death by one brother, Lawrence Walton. A host of family and friends survive.

Curtis Hendricks, 71, of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, passed away on July 1, 2026, at Swift Creek Care Facility.
He was born on November 14, 1954, in Sand Springs, Oklahoma.
Curtis was a family man; he loved playing with his grandchildren, and spending time with his family. He enjoyed playing the drums, and spending time with friends.
Curtis is survived by one son, David Mills; four daughters, Mary (Brad) Williams, Misty Hendricks, Stacy (Roger) Burris, and Karolyn Mills; one brother, Joe Hendricks; two sisters, Becky Hendricks, and Sandy Hendricks; eight grandchildren, Issac Hendricks, Christian Burris, Lilly Burris, Hailey McIntosh, Lizzy Zuriga, Waylon Ashcraft, Re*****on Mock, and Gage Russell; and three great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Debbie Hendricks; and two brothers, David Hendricks, and Bill Hendricks. A host of family and friends survive.

Jeffrey Heath Pinkston, 52, of Alton, Missouri, passed away on Saturday, June 20, 2026 in West Plains, Missouri.
He was born on December 31, 1973, in Gulfport, Mississippi, to John Wayne Pinkston and Elizabeth Ann (Winters) Pinkston.
Jeffrey enjoyed watching the Kansas City Chiefs, going fishing, baking with his nieces and nephews. He loved his cat KC, and spending time with family.
Jeffrey is survived by his brother, Billy Pinkston of Poplar Bluff; six nieces and nephews, Jacob Pinkston, Craig (Glendy) Cooley, Julie (Mitch) Cooler-Barmer, Billy (Nova) Pinkston, Jr., Zackery (Mariah Vergara) Pinkston, and Malinda Ann (Brandan Preze) Pinkston; and nine great nieces and nephews, Lydia, Renlee, Christian, Adrian, Issabella, Elizabeth, Hannah, Jackson, and Grayson. He is proceeded in death by his parents, John and Elizabeth Pinkston; one brother, Wesley Pinkston; and one sister, Connie Cooley. A host of family and friends survive.

DOB- June 26 1951 – June 20, 2026, she passed away in her sleep from a massive heart attack.

Melissa had two sons, Vance Calhoun, and Victor Calhoun; daughter, Billie Tibbs; grandchildren: Noah Calhoun, Ian Calhoun, Gavin Calhoun, Tayler Bickel, Madilynn Van Loo, and Peyton Tibbs; she was also anticipating to be a great grandmother with two babies on the way.
She graduated from Pekin community high school and went on after raising her two sons to graduate from Illinois Central College for data entry.
Melissa worked as a secretary for a couple local churches. She also wrote a children’s book and made a name for herself as a seamstress with her own business and she was also a homemaker.
Her favorite hobbies were cooking and baking, especially for her family and friends. One of her favorite pastimes was antiquing and thrifting, where she never could pass up a good deal. She loved rummaging through the isles, and her eyes would light up when she found any of her treasured collectibles whether it be glass shoes, David Winter cottages, time period paintings, or black cat anything. She loved to and spent many hours sitting under the glow of her crafting light, stitching together, one-of-a-kind treasures. In earlier years she spent many weekends dressed as the bell of the ball, while Civil War reenacting with friends and family. As her life changed, she always made her house a home by filling the landscape full of flowers and carving out a little spot for her proud vegetable garden. She Loved curling up on the couch Cuddling with her four beloved cats with a good book or a Hallmark movie.
She was a woman who knew no strangers and made anyone who came across her path feel like family. She knew no difference between blood or kinship, excepting every step child and step grandchild as her own. Melissa always figured out a way to help anyone with her big heart and her spunky, charismatic personality.

Tevon Elijah Youngblood-Miller, 34, of Qulin, Missouri, passed away on Monday, June 15, 2026.
He was born on December 29, 1991, in Poplar Bluff, Missouri, to Andrew Miller and Renea Youngblood.
Tevon enjoyed making music, drawing, going fishing, playing pool. He especially loved spending time with his family.
Tevon is survived by his father, Andrew (Sheryl) Miller; his mother, Renea Youngblood; four brothers, Thomas Youngblood, Freddrick Youngblood, Kimbrayl Miller, and Andrew Miller, Jr.; and three sisters, Ayesha Miller, Africa Youngblood, and Crystal Youngblood. A host of family and friends survive.

Andra Wilfort Wallace, known throughout her life for her warmth, laughter, and generous spirit, was born on October 1, 1944, and leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, unwavering devotion to family and friends, and countless cherished memories.

Raised in Kirkwood, Missouri, Andra graduated from Soldan High School, a St. Louis City Public School, in 1963. Throughout her life, she was known for her vibrant personality, kind heart, and remarkable ability to make everyone feel welcome.

Andra was a dedicated employee wherever she worked and took great pride in serving others. She often shared fond memories of her time at Petrosky Bakery and spent many years as a cook with Host International at St. Louis Lambert International Airport. Known for her strong work ethic, vibrant personality, and willingness to help others, she earned the respect and admiration of her coworkers, who affectionately referred to her as “OG.”

It was during her time at Host International that she met the love of her life, Danny Shafer. United in holy matrimony in May 1995, the two shared more than three decades of love, companionship, laughter, and cherished memories together. Danny affectionately called her “Andy Bop,” a nickname born from the friendship, devotion, and joy that defined their relationship. Over time, the nickname naturally shortened, but its meaning never changed.

To know Andra was to love her. She was the life of the party, full of laughter, quick comebacks, and playful antics that could brighten even the most ordinary day. She never met a stranger and possessed a special gift for making people feel welcome, loved, and included.

Whether she was dancing to her favorite music, playing bingo, cooking meals for family and friends, feeding the birds on her patio, or simply being her silly self, Andra embraced life with joy and enthusiasm. Her infectious smile and spirited personality created countless memories that will be cherished by all who knew her. She believed life was meant to be enjoyed and rarely missed an opportunity to laugh, tell a story, or bring a smile to someone else’s face.

Her nurturing nature extended far beyond her immediate family. During retirement, she lovingly cared for many children and became a mother figure to countless others who affectionately called her “Momma.” Family was never defined by blood alone in Andra’s eyes. She welcomed people into her heart, her home, and her life, leaving a lasting impact on generations of children, friends, and loved ones.

Andra was preceded in death by her mother, Joyce Elaizer Wallace; her father; and her sister, Sandra “Sandy” Mahr.

Andra leaves to cherish her memory her devoted husband, Danny Shafer; her children, Henry Green (Janis), Andrew Green, and Spencer Green; her bonus daughter, LaShana Thornhill, whom she loved as her own; her siblings, Pamela Murray and Walter “Pete” Wallace IV; her grandsons, Jarvis Green, Brandon Partee Bailey, and Andrew Christian Green; her great-granddaughter, Jianna; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, dear friends, bonus children, and loved ones whose lives were forever touched by her kindness and love.

Though the Lord has called Andra home, the memories she created, the laughter she shared, and the love she poured into others will remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. She will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever cherished by those blessed to have shared in her life’s journey.
