May you experience a blooming week ahead, dear Readers. It matters not the size of the buds or blossoms, but DO make sure you give yourself permission to have good self care so your buds can and will open with the beauty you already possess.

For example, do you have enough light and then enough shade? Have you hydrated enough today? Is your "soil" filled with the proper nutrients?

TLC, not permission, is all any flower or growing thing needs to bloom!

Bloom on my friends!🪻🌼🌺🌷🪻

As we head into what I hope is a weekend of respite for us all, dear Readers, may we connect with the beacons we are and have been to others. In so doing this light can reflect off of the waters and back to us during our own stormy times.

Fiona of Earthmonk, writes:

"Have you heard of the lighthouse theory? It goes like this: you don’t need to chase people or change yourself to be seen or valued. Don’t try to prove your worth to anyone. Instead stand tall and proud. Be authentic and true to yourself. Let your light shine, and keep shining even as the storms and waves of life come crashing down. Let your light be a beacon in the dark.

I’m a firm believer that those who resonate with you will be attracted, in contrast those who find your light irritating can steer away and avoid you.
What a great metaphor to stay in your power, authentic and true to yourself.

Hope you love it.
Blessings and beacons of light"

Growth...it's a verb, an action we must take if it is our decision to go forward.
Dear Readers, we can focus on the lost and missed directions or we can focus on the way home. I choose to keep on the path, searching and correcting my way as I go.
" Happy trails, friends."

I remember posting this some years ago, but when it found me again on my personal Facebook account, I thought maybe it was time to share it again, dear Readers! A reminder that we were only ever meant to be ourselves!

Happy brand new week, dear Readers!

A brand new opportunity ( and necessity, I will add!) to seek out even the smallest bits of joy in a world fraught with the joyless in her mix.
I consider it a prescription for my mental health.

Some joys we must plan for, like a nature event, flowers blooming, etc, but focusing on that planning is still focusing of an expectant joyful occasion, right?
One example:
My goal is to get up with the sunrise tomorrow morning...or maybe SOMETIME this week, cloud cover pending! I used to go out with my phone in hand... expectantly and capture the sunrises when I was up early tending to my dog, and somehow, I've forgotten to go out with her and look UP!

Where will you hunt for joy this week, my friends? It may not change the world, whose strife will still exist, but so too, do those miniature and delicate purple flowers that are nestled and woven in the grass at our feet, exist, rarely noticed, tho their hardiness has the capacity to dare to stay and be noticed, to dare and delight those who mindfully seek them out!

May we dare too, to seek out the simplest joys this week, dear readers! I also invite anyone who can capture their joyful essence on camera or even verbally, to share. I know I will be sharing, the MOMENT I capture "my" sunrise( or sunset!)!
Here's to seeking joy, to looking up, and down...and out! 💛✨💛

May this blessing on a Friday morning, carry you through the weekend, dear Readers. May we start our day remembering that we are loved, and that with love, all is possible. 💛✨💛

Morning Blessing
May the morning sun greet you
like a soft lantern, glowing joyfully
to energize your first steps.
May you feel warm, loved, and
inspired to move forward.
May your day unfold with
unexpected kindness,
small encouragements, and
moments that remind you
that life is still capable
of surprising you with goodness.
And may hope walk beside you,
quiet but unmistakable,
leading you to enjoy the day
and shine your own light.

In light of recent losses we are witnessing and hearing on the news as of late, I wanted to re-post this from May 2021. For today's post, I have some additions:

Where are you in this cycle of loss and loss recovery? Maybe you recognize paths long ago traveled and now mastered or managed, but wherever you may be, the following adages have remained helpful for me at any given time:
"What we resist, persists." "What we feed, grows." "Out of surrender comes strength." and what also is most vital: Be gentle with yourself, you do not have to wend through loss and grief alone.Hold those dear to you a little tighter, a little longer, be they persons or healthy ideals. Keep seeking and being the support you need, dear Readers. ❤

Dear Readers, Apparently there is a World Bicycle Day, and it's today! So, my HS retro post from 4/2022 is unearthed for just this occasion! Ride on, my friends!🚲

Also, to Brené Browns post below, I will add that the very reason there are handlebars to begin with, tells us that in life there are times that we need assistance to steer, to hold on, yes, but also for stability. There are always those roads that need more of our attention, right? Those rutty, puddley roads, have us holding on a bit tighter, focusing a bit keener...it would be foolish of us to not have a good grip and focus during those treks, right?
Yet we do not(hopefully) damn ourselves for needing to "get a grip", then! We may not always "sign on to be brave", but life and certain roads in life, do bring it out the brave survivor instinct in us. We do not have to like the journey, but how amazing is it, that we make it to the next intersection, in spite of it all!?

Brené Brown writes:
" When you sign up to be brave you know it means flipping right over those handlebars sometimes.
Maybe what comes with practice is knowing that I'll get back up and that my skinned knee and bruised heart will heal. And, that there are a whole bunch of us that just keep getting back on that bike!"
"Vulnerability sounds like truth and feels like courage. Truth and courage aren't always comfortable, but they are never weakness." ~ Brené Brown

I sure would rather imagine this kind of shedding than one with struggle and strife, but maybe both are what create true growth? Maybe I'll refer to the shedding experience as blooming! Anyone who has ever seen an Oriental poppy shedding its prickly bulbous covering can envision this, eh?
Here's to manifesting your blooming today, dear Readers!
