🌟 Employee Spotlight: Meet Abbey Ottens, Speech-Language Pathologist!

Abbey grew up in the Bay Area and earned her master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Midwestern University. Her interest in neurology and the recovery process following a stroke or other neurological injury inspired her to enter the field.
Abbey loves helping people regain their communication skills and independence. Outside of work, she enjoys thrifting, baking, and exploring the outdoors on hikes with her dog!
We’re grateful to have Abbey on our Porthaven Post Acute PACS: Healthcare Elevated team and appreciate her dedication to supporting our residents! 💙

What an incredible night for the Porthaven Post AcutePACS: Healthcare Elevated team! ⚽️💚🌲

Our team had the amazing opportunity to step onto the field at Providence Park and help present the Center Circle Timbers flag before the Portland Timbers vs. San Diego FC match!

At Porthaven, we’re incredibly proud of the team we’ve built and the people who make our community so special. It was wonderful to spend time together outside of work, have some fun, and create memories we’ll be talking about for a long time!

A huge thank you to the Portland Timbers for giving our team this unforgettable opportunity. We had an amazing time! 💚⚽️

Porthaven Post Acute was so happy to participate in the Mt. Tabor Soapbox Derby! 🏁

This annual tradition in the Mt. Tabor neighborhood brings the community together for such a fun and unique event. We were grateful for the opportunity to volunteer our time, connect with our neighbors, and see some of the incredible soapbox creations and participants throughout the day.

We love being part of the community we serve and look forward to continuing to support events like this! ❤️

At Porthaven Post Acute, our team is what makes our community so special, and this week we're excited to recognize Katelyn Mapes, our incredible Activities Director!

For more than three years, Katelyn has brought creativity, compassion, and endless energy to our residents each day. Whether she's planning meaningful activities, lending a hand wherever it's needed, or greeting everyone with a smile, her positive attitude shines throughout our building.

What makes Katelyn stand out most is her team-first mindset. She never hesitates to step in, support her coworkers, and help ensure our residents receive the best care and experience possible.

Outside of work, Katelyn enjoys singing, reading, hiking, and capturing beautiful moments through photography. 📸

⚾️ Teamwork extends beyond the workplace!

Our management team had an incredible evening cheering on the Hillsboro Hops while enjoying some well-deserved time together. Building strong relationships outside of work helps strengthen the collaboration, communication, and teamwork we bring back to our residents, families, and staff every day.
