Choosing where to give birth is an important part of your birth journey. Whether you’re considering a home birth, birth center, or hospital, the right choice is the one that aligns with your needs, preferences, and individual circumstances.

Home births offer the comfort of familiar surroundings, birth centers provide a more home-like setting with trained professionals, and hospitals offer access to additional medical resources if needed.

There is no one-size-fits-all approach to birth. Take the time to explore your options, ask questions, and talk openly with your care provider about what matters most to you. Consider your health, your preferences, the care available at each location, and where you feel safest and most supported.

Remember, this is your birth. You deserve to feel informed, confident, and supported in whatever setting you choose.

Not sure where to start? Let’s talk about your options. As your doula, I’m here to help you ask the right questions, explore your preferences, and feel confident in your decisions. You deserve to be an active participant in your birth, not just a passenger.

Welcome Baby R!

A little earlier than expected, but right on time for the people who were waiting to love him most.

Sometimes babies remind us that their arrival doesn't always follow the timeline we imagined. And even when the plan shifts, there is still so much strength, love, and beauty in the way a family finds its way to that first hello.

Mama, you showed up for your baby in your own powerful way, and your journey deserves to be celebrated.

Sweet boy, you were worth the wait. Welcome to your family and to a world already made better by your presence.

Birth planning isn’t about controlling every detail of your birth. It’s about learning your options, discovering what matters most to you, and feeling confident in your choices.

✨ Start early and gather information.
✨ Communicate openly with your birth team.
✨ Stay flexible and remember that your preferences matter, even when plans change.

Your birth plan is a tool for informed decision-making, not a script you have to follow. Birth can be unpredictable, but you deserve to feel heard, supported, and empowered every step of the way.

And that’s where a doula can make such a difference. ❤️

Welcome Baby R! ✨

Born just before midnight on 2/6/26, this sweet boy arrived with a birthday that feels a little extra special.

There is something so beautiful about the moment a family changes forever; when the waiting ends, a new little person is finally in your arms, and life takes on a whole new meaning.

Mama, you did something incredible. Your strength brought you to this moment, and now your next chapter begins with your sweet boy earthside.

Welcome to the world, little one.

Getting ready for the journey of a lifetime?

Here are some essentials to include in your hospital bag:

💜Labor & Postpartum Must-Haves: Don't forget comfy clothes, socks, and slippers for pacing the hallways during labor. Pack toiletries, lip balm, and hair ties to keep you feeling fresh.

📝Important Documents: Remember your ID, insurance card, birth plan, and any medical records. Having these ready will help streamline the check-in process.

🎲Entertainment & Distraction (Especially if you are being induced): Bring your favorite book, playlist, or even a card game. Labor can take time, and having something to pass the time can help you relax and not watch the clock.

🍍Snacks & Hydration: Pack your favorite non-perishable snacks and a refillable water bottle. Staying nourished and hydrated is essential.

💙Comfort Items: A pillow from home, a cozy blanket, and your own pillowcase can add a touch of comfort to your hospital stay.

👶Baby Essentials: Don't forget baby's first outfit, swaddles, and a going-home outfit.
Also, have the car seat ready for the journey home! But you can bring that into the hospital after the baby has been born and you are in your postpartum recovery room.

Welcome Baby J! Born 2/4/2026

Some births happen in the blink of an eye, and this little guy certainly made his entrance!
Mom stayed focused with her eye mask on through the entire birth. And once baby arrived? She took it off, looked at her husband, and simply said, “Hi.”

His response? “HI, I’ve been here the whole time.” 😂

The laughter that filled the room was the perfect reminder that birth can be powerful, emotional, and wonderfully human all at once.

Mama, your focus, strength, and ability to stay in your own space were incredible. And that first hello? One for the memory books.

Welcome earthside, sweet boy. Your story is already a good one!

Doula life means showing up for each other just as much as we show up for our clients 🤍

Yesterday I had the honor of stepping in to support one of AshLee’s amazing families while she was at another birth; because sometimes babies don’t space themselves out so nicely.

Two clients. Two labors. One incredible doula.
She made it to both births (because of course she did 💪), and I’m just so grateful to be part of a community that truly has each other’s backs.

It’s World Doula Week 🤍

And one of the most common questions I get is “Wait… what exactly is a doula?” or "What does a doula do?"

A doula is someone who walks alongside you through one of the most transformative seasons of your life.

We’re there to support you emotionally when things feel overwhelming, physically when your body is working so hard, and informationally so you can make decisions that feel right for you.

We’re not there to take over.
We’re there to ground you, support you, and remind you of your strength.

Whether it’s your first baby or your fourth, whether your birth is fast or long, medicated or unmedicated; you deserve consistent, compassionate support.

And that’s exactly what a doula provides 🤍

✨ If you’ve ever been curious about having a doula, I’d love to chat
