This visit was extra special as Rusty led the men through a meditation he wrote during his very first visit to Alcyon. From gardening to kayaking and sailing, it was a weekend full of connection, reflection, and time outdoors. ⛵🌱

Weekend vibes at 𝐌𝐞𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐨𝐢𝐚 𝐇𝐨𝐮𝐬𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐌𝐞𝐧…

BBQ on the grill, co****le in the yard, and a whole lot of community. Sometimes recovery looks like doing the work and sometimes it looks like laughing, eating good food, and simply enjoying life together.

Connection is the opposite of addiction. 💚

Today, the men of 𝐌𝐞𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐨𝐢𝐚 𝐇𝐨𝐮𝐬𝐞 got their hands dirty in Unity, Maine. 🌱

At a private orchard and future working farm, the day was all about learning by doing—working the soil.

There’s something grounding about putting your hands in the earth, working alongside others, and contributing to something that will continue to grow long after you leave.

Community. Connection. Purpose. 🌿

Today, we honor an exciting new chapter for Kate Allen, who has been a valued part of our community. Over the past eight months, Kate has served on our team with dedication, compassion, and a genuine commitment to helping others.

We are proud to share that Kate has accepted a full-time position with the Portland Public Library.

As an alumni of our long-term program, her journey is a powerful reminder of that strength and persistence produces lasting change when women are supported and empowered.

We are grateful for the impact she has made, and the example she has set along the way. We couldn’t be prouder of all she has accomplished. ❤️

Throughout their journeys, Courtney and Sylvia leaned on their faith, were resilient, and courageous through every challenge. They embraced suggestions with open hearts and put them into action, allowing lasting growth to take root.

Together, they demonstrated grace, selflessness, and a willingness to trust the process, making difficult decisions with courage while continually encouraging and supporting those around them. Their commitment to recovery has left a meaningful impact on our MRC community, and we know they will continue to carry that same strength and hope into this next chapter. 🤍🙏

Thank you to everyone who came out to the MRC Community Speaker Meeting last night! ✨

The room was filled with connection, hope, and the incredible energy that makes this recovery community so special. A heartfelt thank you to Emma and Burke for courageously carrying a message of hope, action, and recovery.

To everyone who showed up, shared space, and continues to make this community what it is—thank you. We are so grateful for each and every one of you.

From the day he arrived, Scottie has been a true pillar of our community. Whether welcoming a newcomer or being a buddy to someone just beginning their journey, he has consistently put others before himself. His determination, commitment to the program, and servant’s heart have set an incredible example for everyone around him.
