Congratulations to Muse 609 for the addition of their new salon sign! This morning, Main Street Portsmouth In Bloom Board Member, Suzette Rhea, presented Aryn Garrett and Keisha Teeters with a Building Improvement Grant award of $600 toward the project.

2026 Building Improvement Grant applications are now open. The deadline to apply is noon on Friday, October 30. To download a grant application, review the criteria, and to learn more about the program, please visit our webpage:

Thank you to the City of Portsmouth for partnering with Main Street Portsmouth In Bloom to continue the Building Improvement Grant program to help property owners, businesses, and organizations maintain the facades and roofs of their historic buildings in the Downtown Improvement District.

Building Improvement Grant Applications may be submitted to the Main Street Portsmouth In Bloom office by the last Friday in October every year for up to $25,000 in funding.

This matching grant program is in its 17th year. $400,000 in matching funds have been awarded so far, resulting in millions of dollars in Downtown Portsmouth historic preservation investment!

I’m Amanda. I’ve had a wild life that’s taken me through a lot of different journeys and places.

What do I do now?

✨ Most importantly, helping people figure out where they want to move in life and how to get there

I hold biweekly gatherings to help people find their people. I host Spiritual Foundations classes, Tea Talks where I share education about herbs and holistic care, and Tea & Tarot parties to help demystify tarot and teach it as a tool for self-reflection.

And mostly, I continue healing my own soul along the way.

I always say, “I float around like a little fairy to see where life will take me,” and honestly, it’s been a beautiful gift.
