Congratulations to Muse 609 for the addition of their new salon sign! This morning, Main Street Portsmouth In Bloom Board Member, Suzette Rhea, presented Aryn Garrett and Keisha Teeters with a Building Improvement Grant award of $600 toward the project.

Thank you to the City of Portsmouth for partnering with Main Street Portsmouth In Bloom to continue the Building Improvement Grant program to help property owners, businesses, and organizations maintain the facades and roofs of their historic buildings in the Downtown Improvement District.
Building Improvement Grant Applications may be submitted to the Main Street Portsmouth In Bloom office by the last Friday in October every year for up to $25,000 in funding.
This matching grant program is in its 17th year. $400,000 in matching funds have been awarded so far, resulting in millions of dollars in Downtown Portsmouth historic preservation investment!
