🏌️‍♂️ What a way to begin a new tradition!

The inaugural Carole Lou Classic raised an incredible $34,000 for Bluff Haven Assisted Living! ⛳

And one of the most important things to know about that number: 100% of the proceeds from the event will directly benefit Bluff Haven Assisted Living. Every sponsorship, registration, auction bid, donation, and contribution stays focused on supporting our residents and caregivers. 🏡

What started as an idea from Carole Lou’s family to honor her memory and give back to the place that meant so much to her brought together golfers, businesses, sponsors, volunteers, families, friends, and community members for a wonderful day at the Barnyard 9.

From the golf course to the silent auction, contests, lunch, and everything in between, this event was made possible by an incredible community coming together for a meaningful cause.

This week at Bluff Haven brought plenty of games, music, competition, and a little taste of the fair! 🎡

We kicked things off with a round of Left Right Center before enjoying our #1 favorite, BINGO! Music with Mike was another big hit, filling the room with smiles and plenty of singing along to some favorite songs. 🎶

Mother Nature may have had other plans for our outdoor activities, but that didn't stop the fun! Our Nerf gun challenge moved indoors, where residents raced to see who could knock all their cups off the table first. With the incredible aim we saw, we recommend staying on these residents' good side! 🎯 We also brought our Tic-Tac-Toe competition into the Great Room for some friendly rivalry.

We wrapped up the week with a fair-themed Happy Hour complete with funnel cakes, snow cones, cotton candy, and fresh-squeezed lemonade. A big thank-you to Sierra, Angie, and Ella for helping make all the fair treats! 🍋

Of course, we couldn't have a fair without reminiscing about favorite fair rides, games, animals, and demolition derbies. It was a wonderful way to wrap up another great week at Bluff Haven!

A little bit of everything kept Prairie Maison busy this week! 🐶

The week started with some puppy snuggles during pet therapy day as Arlow stopped by before Bingo. Residents enjoyed holding, cuddling, and spending time with their furry visitor. 🐾

Residents also got creative painting birdhouses and spent some time in the kitchen baking cheesecakes over the weekend.

Our State Fair celebration brought a taste of childhood favorites to the table, giving residents a chance to enjoy some familiar foods and reminisce about days gone by.

We wrapped up the week with a wonderful live music performance, giving everyone a chance to sit back, listen, and enjoy the entertainment. 🎶

From puppy visits and painting to baking, familiar favorites, and live music, Prairie Maison had a little something for everyone this week!

A welcomed surprise for our team! 💙

This morning, the Weeks family surprised our staff with a generous and thoughtful gesture; two beautifully arranged snack trays, one featuring a selection of assorted cheeses and the other filled with crisp, fresh vegetables, accompanied by crackers for everyone to enjoy.

These unexpected treats were a wonderful way to show appreciation, and they mean so much to our staff. Moments like these are a heartfelt reminder of how valued their dedication and hard work truly are. A big thank you to the Weeks Family for brightening the day of our team!

🎒 What an incredible response to our School Supply Drive!

Throughout the month of July, the Fun Committee at Community Health Services collected school supplies to help support our staff and their school-aged children as they prepare for the upcoming school year.

We were thrilled by the generosity of our community and had a much better turnout than we ever expected! The donated supplies were organized and displayed in our Commons, giving CHS staff the opportunity to choose what their children need to start the school year off right.

It may seem like a simple box of crayons, a notebook, or a new backpack, but these donations can make a huge difference for a family getting ready for a new school year.

Thank you to everyone who donated and helped make this drive such a success. Your generosity is making a difference right here at Community Health Services! ❤️📚

A little competition, creativity, and time outdoors made for a nice week at Bluff Haven! ☀️

Residents brought back one of their favorite games, Steal My Beads, and also spent some time getting creative with hummingbird suncatchers. The finished projects turned out beautifully and are sure to brighten up the space. 🐦

There was a great turnout for exercise this week, followed by another beautiful day outside for a competitive game of lawn darts 🎯

To round things out, residents settled in for a movie and snack. It was a hit, with plenty of funny moments along the way. 🍿

Another week of games, creativity, fresh air, and time together at Bluff Haven.
