Today we celebrate Pioneer Day and remember the courageous men, women, and children who left everything behind to journey west in search of a better future for their families.

Many of those pioneers settled right here in our corner of Idaho and Utah, building homes, farms, businesses, schools, and communities from the ground up. Their faith, grit, and determination created the foundation for the places we love and call home today.

As we gather with family, enjoy good food, and make new memories, we also honor the lasting legacy of those who came before us. Their sacrifices remind us that strong communities are built one act of hard work, kindness, and perseverance at a time.

From all of us at Stokes Marketplace Preston, Happy Pioneer Day! ❤️ Here's to remembering our heritage, celebrating our community, and looking forward to the future together.

Friendly faces.
That's what Kara Hamilton delivers!

For more than two years, Kara has been brightening our Produce Department with her contagious smile and genuine love for connecting with customers. She's also a frequent flyer on our social media, always willing to help out! She says her favorite part of working at Stokes is meeting new people and seeing their faces light up after a simple compliment.

Kara believes Stokes is special because every day brings new conversations and opportunities to learn something different. Whether she's stocking fresh produce or helping customers find just what they need, she makes every interaction a little brighter. It's no wonder she describes Stokes in one word: home.

When she's off the grocery floor, you'll probably find her singing along to TobyMac or Luke Combs, enjoying something sweet, or cooling off in the produce cooler during the summer rush. She jokes that working Produce is a workout all by itself!

One regular customer always reminds Kara, "Don't forget to show that beautiful smile," and we couldn't agree more.
