We are so excited to recognize Sandi Regruto from Carbon High School as an Apples for Teachers recipient!

Sandi may not teach in a traditional classroom, but as Carbon High School’s mental health therapist, she teaches students some of life’s most important lessons — kindness, resilience, and the importance of knowing someone truly cares.

Sandi is there for students on some of their hardest days, making sure they feel seen, heard, valued, and supported. She puts in countless hours building genuine relationships with students and providing a safe place when they need it most. Her dedication doesn’t stop at the school doors either! Sandi is an active member of the C.A.R.E. Coalition and regularly volunteers her time throughout our community.

Her work often happens behind the scenes, but the difference she makes is felt by students, families, and our entire community. ❤️
