“Why does eyebrow waxing cost so much now?”
Is something I’ve heard quite a few times over the last couple years. Here’s my perspective as an esthetician who was getting those $7 brow waxes. ~with photographic proof (cropped my cute friends out because this was before we really started getting into selfies 😂)

The year was 2011 you could walk into any salon with $7 and leave 5 minutes later after 3 strips of wax and possibly half of one of your brows missing.😂 I don’t think my brows could even be considered distantly related in this era.😅

What does that have to do with today’s pricing of brow waxes? Because not only has the rising cost of supplies contributed to today’s pricing, but the service itself has evolved. In my opinion, today brow waxing is less about trends and more about what fits your natural face shape and style.

Brow waxing is also no longer a wham, bam, thank you ma’am service it once was. Personally, I take the time to map my clients brows before waxing to enhance their natural features. There’s also no guessing if I’m waxing the same amount off each side. I do any tweezing or trimming that may need to be done to achieve the best look as well.And you can’t forget about the soothing calming mist after. 🧡

Circadia SWiCH Master Class 💙

This weekend I traveled to Indianapolis to take a mastery class on SWiCH Treatments! This has become one of my most performed services in the treatment room, so it only felt right.🧡 I believe even if you’ve done something a million times; there’s always room to improve and learn!

What is this treatment? It’s an alternative chemical peel for those 37+. Alternative as in instead of putting your skin through a controlled injury- we’re helping to heal it from within with SWiCH. The closer we get to 40 our ATP production (energy in our cells) starts to majorly slow down. As cellular function gradually shifts, the skin ability to maintain, repair, and renew itself becomes less efficient.
