We are thankful to be safe and alive. Just last summer we had River’s tragic accident. And now we are left displaced. 2026 is supposed to be my year. This wasn’t part of it. I just have to stay positive and continue at my own pace. Thankful for our immediate support people that helped us with our children, pets and toiletries. We are appreciative of the kindness you’ve shown. Thank you. Please share.

A Cesarean birth does not mean you can’t have a successful breastfeeding journey.

While recovery may look a little different, your body is still preparing to make milk and nourish your baby.

A few things that can help:

✨ Ask for skin-to-skin as soon as it’s medically possible.
✨ Try to initiate breastfeeding within the first hour if you and baby are stable.
✨ Use plenty of pillows to support your incision and find comfortable feeding positions.
✨ Side-lying and football hold are often great options after a C-section.
✨ If baby can’t latch right away, hand expression or pumping can help protect your milk supply.
✨ Accept help—your support team can bring baby to you, adjust pillows, and make feeding more comfortable.

Most importantly: be patient with yourself. You’re recovering from major abdominal surgery and learning your baby at the same time. Give yourself grace.

A C-section birth is still a birth, and breastfeeding after a C-section is absolutely possible. 💛

☀️ What parents need to know this summer

🏖️ Not all sunscreens are created equal—and for babies under 6 months, shade and protective clothing are usually the safest first choice.

Have you ever wished you had someone in your corner during a healthcare appointment?

Your Doula Can Come to That Appointment, Too.

My scope of being a full spectrum Doula, includes supporting your reproductive health!

You know you’re a Doula when… Telephone poles look like birth control.

Not all doulas are crunchy… and I’m one of them. 🤍

I support unmedicated births.
I support epidurals.
I support inductions.
I support planned C-sections.
I support VBACs.
I support home births.
I support hospital births.

My goal isn’t to convince you to give birth a certain way.

My goal is to make sure you have accurate information, feel supported, and are empowered to make the decisions that are right for you and your family.

You don’t have to fit into a certain “birth culture” to work with me. Whether you’re planning every detail or just hoping to make it through labor one contraction at a time, I’m here to support you—not judge you.

Because birth support shouldn’t come with an agenda. ✨

Birth isn’t just physical—it’s deeply emotional and hormonal.
The environment and energy around a laboring mom can either support progress… or unintentionally slow things down.

Partners: you don’t need to be perfect.
You just need to be present, calm, and tuned in 💫
