β€œWalk it off” is good advice for cooling down after an argument. Treating concussions, not so much. For your best shot at a full recovery, get professional medical help as soon as possible.

Ever wonder what a speech therapy session actually looks like for someone with aphasia? πŸ§ πŸ’¬

This week, I'm using a treatment approach called VNeST (Verb Network Strengthening Treatment) with one of my clients.

VNEST stands for Verb Network Strengthening Treatment. Instead of starting with nouns, we start with a verb β€” like "paint" or "deliver" β€” and build outward: Who's doing it? What are they doing it to? Where? How?

By strengthening these connections around a single verb, clients with aphasia can start producing fuller, more flexible sentences β€” not just memorized phrases, but language they can actually use in real conversations.

It's slow, steady work. But watching someone go from single words to full sentences? That's the whole reason I love this job. πŸ’™
