What do the Boston Red Sox, the American Heart Association, and ACLS Academy have in common?

A shared mission to build a Nation of Lifesavers.

This CPR & AED Awareness Week, six ACLS Academy instructors will volunteer at Fenway Park alongside the Red Sox Foundation and the American Heart Association to help teach Hands-Only CPR to hundreds of fans on the field after the game.

Why does it matter?

Because the person who saves a life during a cardiac emergency is often not a healthcare provider. It is a parent. A teacher. A coworker. A friend sitting nearby.

One afternoon at Fenway. Hundreds of new lifesavers. Countless lives that could one day be impacted.

The stethoscope is no longer just a symbol.
It’s a responsibility.

As a new generation of healthcare providers steps forward, this moment isn’t just about graduation, it’s about what comes next.

The first critical patient.
The first real decision.
The first time everything you’ve learned becomes real.

At ACLS Academy, we’re proud to support that transition, helping bridge the gap between education and real-world care through hands-on, experience-driven training.

Because confidence isn’t just learned.
It’s built.

And it’s passed on, from one provider to the next.

Taking care of your heart doesn’t have to be complicated 🤍

This High Blood Pressure Education Month, here are a few simple ways to stay on top of your health:

✔️ Check your blood pressure regularly
✔️ Move your body daily, even 20–30 minutes helps
✔️ Cut back on sodium and ultra-processed foods
✔️ Stay hydrated
✔️ Prioritize sleep
✔️ Manage stress where you can

High blood pressure often has no symptoms, which is why small, consistent habits matter.

Start with one or two. Stay consistent. It adds up.

Stroke risk isn’t just about age or genetics anymore.

This Stroke Awareness Month, it’s important to understand that everyday factors like diet, sleep, and lifestyle are playing a bigger role than ever before.

In the U.S., someone experiences a stroke every 40 seconds.
And when it happens, time is everything.

Remember the signs:
F.A.S.T
- Face drooping
- Arm weakness
- Speech difficulty
- Time to call 911

At ACLS Academy, we go beyond awareness, providing Advanced Stroke Life Support (ASLS) training to help healthcare providers recognize and respond with confidence when seconds matter most.

Because awareness is the first step.
Action is what saves lives.

At Belmont Public Schools, food services staff are stepping into a new role: lifesavers.

After a series of real-life, close-to-home experiences, Director Jackie Morgan knew one thing for certain, emergencies don’t wait for the “right” moment.

So in partnership with ACLS Academy, 24 staff members across all seven schools completed CPR, AED, and choking response training.

This wasn’t about checking a box.
It was about being ready.

Now, these team members return to their schools with the confidence to act when it matters most, in cafeterias, hallways, and everyday moments where seconds count.

Because lifesaving skills don’t belong to one profession.
They belong to anyone willing to step up.

From real-life emergencies to real-world training.

This Nurses Week, we’re celebrating the nurses behind ACLS Academy, the ones who don’t just teach life-saving skills, they’ve lived them.

Because confidence in an emergency doesn’t come from memorizing steps.
It comes from experience.

And that’s what sets our training apart.

Thank you to the nurses shaping the next generation of lifesavers. 🤍

Stress doesn’t stay in your head. It impacts your heart, your sleep, your blood pressure, and even your heart rhythm.

For Stress Awareness Month, we’re separating myth from fact.

Chronic stress has real physiological effects on the cardiovascular system. Understanding that connection helps protect long-term heart health.

Awareness matters.
Healthy coping strategies matter.
Preparation matters.

Which myth surprised you most?

Cardiac arrest is one of the most time-sensitive medical emergencies. Survival doesn’t depend on one action — it depends on a system.

It’s called the Chain of Survival.

Five critical links work together to improve outcomes:

• Early recognition and calling for help
• Immediate high-quality CPR
• Rapid defibrillation with an AED
• Advanced life support
• Post-cardiac arrest care

Each link strengthens the next. If one is delayed, the entire chain is affected.

This is why education and hands-on training matter. Programs like BLS, ACLS, and PALS help healthcare providers and trained responders build the confidence, skill, and muscle memory needed when seconds count.

Because when every link is strong, survival chances increase.

Stress can impact the heart in powerful ways. But when a cardiac emergency happens, preparation makes the difference.

In 2014, Dr. Shelley Lynch was walking through Logan International Airport when a TSA worker suddenly collapsed. Drawing on years of clinical experience and training, she immediately stepped forward to provide lifesaving care. The TSA worker ultimately made a full recovery.

That unexpected moment reinforced something critical: when the heart is under pressure, training matters.

It also helped inspire the creation of ACLS Academy — a training center built around delivering high-quality cardiac education in a clear, supportive, and practical environment.

Stress Awareness Month reminds us that protecting heart health involves both prevention and preparedness.

Because when seconds count, confidence comes from training.
