Danny Lee Stepp, 34, of South Shore, KY, passed away at his home on August 15, 2026.
Mr. Stepp was born October 8, 1991, in Ashland, KY. He is the son of Phyllis Ann Smith Stepp and the late Robert Eugene Stepp.

Mr. Stepp loved the outdoors. He was an avid gun collector and loved to go four wheeling.

Mr. Stepp is survived by his sister, Vickie Carroll and her husband, Cory Marchus Carroll Sr.; his fiancé of ten years, Hillary Sue Bowling; two stepsons, Bentley Rankin and Xavier Scott Bowling; four nephews, Robert Paul Wellman, Cory Marcus Carroll Jr., Hunter Wade Carroll and Harley David Carroll; Jennifer Thacker, who he jokingly referred to as his future ex mother-in-law; great nephew, Judsen Carroll, who he loved and admired and his extended family and friends.

A celebration of life for Danny Stepp will be held on August 29, 2026, at 5:00pm at 5795 Rt 7, South Shore, KY 41175.

The Senior expo is from 12:00 to 3:00 and the car show is from 4:00 to 7:30. During the last hour of the car show every 10 minutes a door prize will be given away. A 4 sided deer stand valued at over $500.00, creepers, gas cards, engine stand and alignments just to name a few.

Carolyn Sue Hammonds Pennywitt, 71, of Raceland, KY went to be with the Lord Sunday, August 16,2026, at Kings Daughters Medical Center in Ashland. She was surrounded by her family.

Carolyn was born February 7, 1955, in Ashland, KY. She was preceded in death by her parents Clyde and Betty Rice Hammonds and her beloved Yorkshire terrier, Skippy.

Carolyn was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a 1973 graduate of Paul Blazer High School. She worked for years as a cashier and then as a nurse aide in the nursing homes and Hospice. She was a member of Melrose Methodist Church.

Surviving Carolyn is her loving husband of 48 years, Bill Pennywitt; her daughter Candice (Justin) Stevens, her grandson J.M. Stevens, her sister Connie Castle as well as her friends.

A funeral service for Carolyn will be held on Wednesday, August 19, 2026, at 1:00 with Rev. Roger Bonzo officiating at the Evans Funeral Home in Raceland. Friends may visit from 11:00am until time of service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Evans Funeral Home for her final expenses.

Patricia “Pat” Ellen Smith Moore, 77, of Ripley, OK, formerly of Greenup, KY went to be with the Lord on August 6, 2026. Pat was born March 12, 1949, in Hammond, IND. She is the daughter of the late Tommy Elwood Smith and the late Sarah Shroder.

Mrs. Moore was a devoted wife and mother. On August 11th her and Harold would have been married fifty-five years. Harold said she was his world and love of his life. They spent every day together and even worked together for three years at one point. She went on to become Head Baker at Walmart. She loved to bake and would tell everyone about her job.

Surviving Pat is her husband, Harold Moore; two daughters, Susan Renee James, Sarah Jones; one brother, Tommy Smith; five grandchildren, Joshua Jones, Kimberly Jones, Jonathan James, Tyler James, Ethan James; three great grandchildren, extended family and friends.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, August 15, 2026, at noon at the Cox-Moore Cemetery in Greenup, KY with Pastor Jerry Moore Officiating. Please meet at the cemetery.

Curtis “Curt” Charles Lee Kitchen, 41, of Ashland, KY, passed away on August 10, 2026, after an extended illness at his parents' home.

Curt was born January 26, 1985, in Decatur, Illinois. He is the son of Jeff and Trina Stovall of Ashland, KY. Along with his parents, Curt is survived by his daughter, Aubree Kitchen of Rock Hill, SC; three brothers, Mike, who never left his bedside providing him with so much love and unconditional support, Scott and Brady; one sister, Emily (Luke) Sheridan of Lebanon, TN; one uncle, Charles “Rusty” (Tricia) Stewart; one aunt, Cathy; biological grandparents, Gary (JoAnn) Kitchen and his wife, Kyle.

Curt attended school in Delavan, Illinois until he transferred to Ashland, Kentucky to complete his senior year at Fairview High School. After high school he went on to become a talented and certified welder. He was trained in TIG, MIG and stainless welding. He also obtained certification through a General Motors course for programmable logic controllers (PLC), and ladder logic for set up and maintenance of automation controls for robotic manufacturing.

On April 14, 2024, in Louisville, Kentucky Curt turned his life over to the Lord and was baptized.

Curt enjoyed baseball. In his final days he and his father, Jeff, enjoyed watching the Chicago Clubs play. He was known for his quick wit, wonderful sense of humor and willingness to always help a stranger. He will be sorely missed by his family and friends, and to...

Dan M. Gearheart, 90, of Worthington went to be with the Lord on July 23, 2026, peacefully at home. He was the son of the late John M. and Nina Gearheart. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his brother, James “Jim” Gearheart.

Dan was loving and giving to everyone around him but especially to his family. He was a graduate of Raceland High School. An active member of the Raceland Baptist Church and prior years to Worthington Baptist Church. Dan retired from the railroad as a yard conductor. He was on the Worthington Fire Department and served as assistant fire chief. He was on the Worthington City Council and briefly served as mayor.

Surviving Dan is his loving wife of 69 years, Jeanie Gearheart; his daughter, Karen Gearheart of Worthington, KY, his son, John E. Gearheart of Springfield, OH; two grandchildren, Meghan Gearheart of Columbus, OH, grandson, Joseph Jarrell of New Orleans, LA; two great grandchildren, Lauren Gearheart of Lexington, KY, Alexander Gearheart of Worthington, KY; his brother, Larry (Margaret) Gearheart of Worthington, KY and sister-in-law Shirley Gearheart.

Visitation for friends will be from 1:00pm to 3:00pm on Monday July 27, 2026, at Evans Funeral Home in Raceland, KY. Funeral services will begin at 3:00pm on Monday.

Graveside services will be Tuesday, July 28, 2026, at 12:00pm at the Rose Hill Burial Park Chapel. Please meet at the cemetery.

Teresa Gail Trivette, 64, of Worthington, KY, went to be with the Lord on July 16, 2026, at Kings Daughters Medical Center in Ashland.

Mrs. Trivette was born March 19, 1962, at Bellefonte Hospital. She is a daughter of the late Jacob Frederick and Bessie Greathouse Frederick. Along with her parents, she is also preceded in death by her husband, Larry Trivette, and two brothers, Larry Frederick and Rick Frederick.

Teresa loved spending time with her family whenever possible. She had a love for all things Elvis and was an avid fan of Johnny Depp.

Mrs. Trivette is survived by her brother, Rodger (Phyllis) Frederick; her nephew, Brandon Hall; two nieces, Brittany Frederick and Jordan Frederick, as well as her extended family and friends.

A graveside service for Teresa Trivette will be held on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, at 11:00am at the Bellefonte Memorial Gardens.
