Did you know that NAMI had a hand in creating the beautiful new Racine County Behavioral Health building on Taylor Ave.?

This beautiful mural is at the main entrance and was painted by Julie Feiler, NAMI Racine County and Racine Friendship Clubhouse very own board member and artist...along with the energy and help from staff and art students from The Prairie School!

The iris is a symbol for mental health, representing;
-Hope in recovery
-Strength through challenges
-Growth and transformation
-Community support

💚🌷Like the iris, recovery is a journey of growth, resilience, and hope. Even after the hardest seasons, healing is possible. At NAMI Racine County, we believe every person deserves support, understanding, and the opportunity to thrive.

Thank you Racine County Health & Human Services for this collaboration. We are so grateful to have been a part of this project and can't wait to see the impact of this gorgeous facility.

You can check it out tomorrow, at the Open House. See you there! https://www.facebook.com/share/1CCXGg17rw/

"A person in crisis should be treated with dignity." – Trevor Jung

Compassion matters. In his responses to NAMI Racine County's candidate questionnaire, Trevor Jung, candidate for Wisconsin's Senate District 21, emphasized the importance of crisis services, peer support, community-based resources, and treating individuals experiencing mental health challenges with dignity and respect. Jung also expressed support for expanding access to mental health care, strengthening school-based services, ensuring permanent funding for the 988 Lifeline, supporting peer-run respites, and increasing opportunities for Clubhouses across Wisconsin.

Thank you Trevor Jung for State Senate for participating in our candidate survey! These conversations help raise awareness and encourage thoughtful dialogue about the future of mental health care in our community.

"Mental health is important to me, and 988 provides an important resource for people in crisis." – Jim Croft

In responses to NAMI Racine County's candidate questionnaire, Jim Croft, candidate for Wisconsin's Senate District 21, emphasized the importance of listening to stakeholders and advocates, maintaining reliable funding for mental health programs, and ensuring resources are used effectively to achieve the greatest impact. He also highlighted support for the 988 Lifeline, local community partnerships, crisis response training, school-based mental health services, and exploring community-based supports such as peer-run respites and Clubhouses.

Thank you Jim Croft for participating in our candidate survey! These conversations help elevate mental health as a community priority and give voters an opportunity to learn where candidates stand on issues affecting individuals and families impacted by mental illness.
