“Let’s wait until the next well check before we do anything” … and by the next well check, a simple fix has turned into a bigger issue.

If I’ve heard it before, I’ve heard it a million times! But sometimes wait and see does more harm than good. Many times, treatment frequency and duration can be shortened with earlier intervention. Some things that we DONT recommend the wait and see approach:

❌ Head preference (looking to one side more than the other) or head flattening in infants
❌ Tip toe walking over the age of 2
❌ Not walking independently by 18 months

Meet the therapist behind Align Pediatric Therapy!

Ashley received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2019 from Methodist University. She has extensive experience in pediatrics including outpatient, orthopedic, in-patient, and private practice. Ashley has had the opportunity to work in a serial casting clinic, gait analysis lab, and the state's leading children's hospital. She is one of just a few physical therapists in the area that offers Schroth physical therapy for scoliosis, and the only therapist offering in-home and virtual Schroth visits in Raleigh and Durham!

It has been a joy to work with children throughout her career and Ashley can't wait to continue that with her own clinic. Outside of work, Ashley enjoys golf, reading, needlepoint, and hanging with her husband and daughter, Lainey.
