Summer may be winding down, but UV protection should never take a break. ☀️🕶️

UV rays can affect your eyes year round, even when summer is coming to an end. When choosing sunglasses, look for lenses that provide 100% UVA and UVB protection to help keep your eyes protected whenever you're outdoors.

Too much screen time? You're not alone. 👀💻

Whether you're heading back to school or back to the office, our eyes are spending more time on digital devices than ever before. Long hours in front of screens can lead to digital eye strain, causing tired eyes, headaches, blurred vision, and dryness.

A simple way to give your eyes a break is to follow the 20 • 20 • 20 Rule:
👀 Every 20 minutes
📍 Look at something 20 feet away
⏱️ For 20 seconds

Small habits can make a big difference in keeping your eyes comfortable throughout the day.

If you're experiencing ongoing eye strain or it's time for your annual exam, we're here to help.

Today we celebrate and thank Logan Beane as he completes his internship journey with The Eye Institute! 👏💙
Logan has been an incredible addition to our TEI family, bringing curiosity, dedication, a positive attitude, and a genuine passion for optometry to our team. Throughout his time with us, he gained valuable hands-on experience while learning from our providers and staff about the importance of compassionate patient care, attention to detail, and excellence in eye care.
A proud NC State University alum, Logan is now preparing for his next exciting chapter as he begins his journey at the OSU School of Optometry, Class of 2030! 🩺👓

When asked about his experience at TEI, Logan shared:
"My time here has given me invaluable hands-on experience and reinforced my passion for optometry. Working alongside such a knowledgeable and supportive team has taught me the importance of compassionate patient care, attention to detail, and lifelong learning. As I leave to begin optometry school, I plan to build on the foundation I’ve gained here to become the best clinician I can be."

Logan — thank you for sharing your talents, enthusiasm, and passion with our team. We are so proud of you and cannot wait to see all the amazing things you accomplish!
🌟 Your future is bright — keep reaching for your goals! 🌟
