Every patient brings a different combination of history, medications, diagnoses, biomarkers, genetics, lifestyle factors and cognitive concerns into the room.

That matters because cognitive decline is inherently multidomain. Understanding what may be contributing to it means looking at the individual patient, not applying the same set of recommendations to everyone.

Research has shown that personalized, multidomain approaches to cognitive care can lead to better clinical outcomes by addressing multiple contributing factors rather than focusing on a single aspect of cognitive health.
uMETHOD Health was built around that reality.

Its clinical decision support system brings together longitudinal patient data, identifies and prioritizes modifiable contributors, and generates individualized guidance for physicians, patients and caregivers.

The goal is to make evidence-informed, personalized, multidomain cognitive management something clinicians can actually put into practice.

Because the care plan should start with the patient it was built for.

AI-powered care plans are being tested in real-world clinical practice. And the findings are drawing attention.

Longevity.Technology recently featured uMETHOD Health’s peer-reviewed research examining cognitive outcomes among patients whose clinicians used RestoreU, our AI-powered clinical decision support system.

The study evaluated 345 patients over an average follow-up of 14.1 months, with 83.5% maintaining or improving cognitive function, or experiencing minor decline without diagnostic progression.

These findings offer an important look at how AI-supported, personalized cognitive care can be implemented in everyday clinical settings.

RestoreU helps physicians navigate complex patient data, identify potentially treatable contributors to cognitive decline, and develop individualized, multidomain care plans.

While the retrospective study does not establish that RestoreU caused the observed outcomes, it adds to the growing body of real-world evidence informing the role of AI in cognitive care.

Thank you to Longevity.Technology for highlighting our research and bringing greater attention to the clinical potential of AI-powered, personalized care.

Multidomain cognitive care is not a new scientific idea.

The challenge is making it usable in everyday clinical practice.

Controlled trials can rely on dedicated staff, standardized protocols, close monitoring and tightly defined follow-up. Routine care has to work across different patients, clinical sites, data sources, medications, comorbidities and real-world constraints.

That is the implementation problem examined in uMETHOD Health’s newly published study.

The uMETHOD Health clinical decision support system was designed to bring together longitudinal clinical data and translate it into prioritized, individualized guidance that can be used by clinicians, patients and caregivers within routine workflows.

The paper focuses on whether that multidomain approach can be operationalized outside research infrastructure and what that looks like in real-world care.

The impact of dementia extends far beyond cognitive health.

When a patient can no longer clearly communicate what happened last week, explain their medical history, or advocate for themselves, managing an unrelated condition like diabetes becomes more complex too.

That complexity has consequences across the healthcare system.

In the full conversation, uMETHOD Health co-founders Vik Chandra and John Q. Walker II, PhD discuss the broader impact of cognitive decline, the challenges physicians face in managing increasingly complex patients, and how better clinical decision support can help.

A patient experiencing cognitive decline may arrive with decades of medical history, thousands of lab results, multiple active conditions, medications, genetics, and other clinical factors that all need to be considered together.

The challenge isn’t a lack of information.

It’s turning that information into something a physician can actually use.

In our latest conversation, uMETHOD Health co-founders Vik Chandra and John Q. Walker II, PhD explore the scale of that challenge, why early cognitive impairment is still missed so often, and how clinical decision support can help bring complex medical knowledge into everyday patient care.

17.5 million Americans age 65+ are living with mild cognitive impairment or dementia.

Behind that number is an enormous clinical challenge: decades of medical history, medications, lab results, genetics, chronic conditions, and thousands of data points that physicians have to interpret and act on.

Coming soon, uMETHOD Health co-founders Vik Chandra and John Q. Walker II, PhD discuss what it takes to make that complexity actionable at the point of care.

The conversation explores early cognitive impairment, dementia, real-world implementation, clinical decision support, AI, and the infrastructure required to bring better cognitive care into everyday practice.

Coming soon to YouTube.
