📍 State Road 135 in Harrison County

Beginning on or around August 31, crews will begin alternating lane closures for pavement patching on S.R. 135 near New Salisbury.

Today Ramsey Fire Department members trained on our vertical ventilation skills with some search and rescue. Members trained on mechanical ventilation utilizing saws and and some manual ventilation using an axe. One evolution was conducted off of the tip of our ladder truck. Ventilation is used for many things most importantly for removing the toxic gases, smoke and heat from the structure to allow firefighters to find victims and extinguish the fire. Great day of brotherhood and training was had by all!

A new endowment fund has recently been established at the Harrison County Community Foundation. Endowment funds begin with a charitable vision and a gift placed in a set-aside fund held by HCCF. Both the original and subsequent contributions are invested to generate additional, ongoing support for the fund's intended purpose.

This evening Ramsey Fire Department is trackside once again at the Harrison County Fairgrounds for the demolition derby! Working along side Lanesville Fire Department and Harrison County Hospital EMS!

This afternoon Ramsey Fire Department had the pleasure to be apart of the Harrison County Fair Parade! We also provided fire protection coverage for the Monster Truck event this evening! At the time of this posting both Engine 34 and Brush 74 are trackside at the Harrison County Fairgrounds!
