Once a month, take a quiet moment to become familiar with how your breasts normally look and feel.

👀 LOOK IN THE MIRROR

With your arms relaxed, raised, and then hands on your hips, look for any new:

• Change in breast size, shape, or symmetry
• Swelling, redness, warmth, or rash
• Skin dimpling, puckering, or an “orange-peel” texture
• Ni**le pulling inward or changing position
• Crusting, scaling, or unusual ni**le discharge

🖐️ FEEL FOR CHANGES

Using the pads of your fingers, gently feel the entire breast area—from your collarbone to beneath the breast and from the center of your chest into the underarm.

Notice any:

• New lump, firm area, or thickening
• Swelling in the breast or underarm
• Persistent tenderness or pain in one area
• Change that feels different from the same area on the other breast

Finding a change does not automatically mean cancer, but every new or unusual change deserves professional evaluation. Contact your healthcare provider rather than waiting for your next routine screening.

When should you consider supplemental ABUS breast screening? 💗

ABUS—Automated 3D Breast Ultrasound—may provide additional information for women with:

• Dense breast tissue
• Breast implants
• A family history of breast or ovarian cancer
• BRCA or another high-risk genetic mutation
• Previous chest radiation or a high-risk breast biopsy

ABUS uses sound waves to create detailed images of breast tissue without radiation. It is a supplemental screening tool and does not replace mammography.

Screening appointments are available without a referral.
