I coach people how to break free from diet culture & exhaustion by resetting their rhythm through light, sleep, food & nervous system support—real wellness, no gimmicks. I am a daughter, sister, wife and a mother to great kids. I started using EO when family suggested it for a skin condition with one of our kids. When it was healed up in a week I was hooked. So now I am starting doTERRA as an advo

☀️ WELLNESS WEDNESDAY… ON A THURSDAY 😂

This week's check-in is another reminder that metabolic health cannot be reduced to a number on the scale.

Last week's weight: 127.0 lbs
This week's weight: 126.1 lbs
⬇️ 0.9 lb

That's nice to see, but it's actually NOT the part I'm most excited about.

Because this month I pulled out the tape measure again.

August → September

Weight: 125.9 → 126.1 lbs (+0.2)

Meanwhile...

Neck: 12.75" → 12.5" | -0.25"
Chest: 33.5" → 32.75" | -0.75"
Upper waist: 28.75" → 28" | -0.75"
Waist: 32.75" → 32" | -0.75"
Hips: 34.5" → 34.5" | maintained
Right arm: 10" → 10" | maintained
Left arm: 9.5" → 9.5" | maintained
Right thigh: 17.25" → 16.5" | -0.75"
Left thigh: 17.25" → 16.75" | -0.50"
Calves: maintained

🔥 That's 3.75 inches lost in ONE MONTH while body weight essentially stayed the same.

And since June, it's roughly 11 total inches.

Now put those measurements beside this week's Hume data:

22.3% body fat ↓
92.8 lbs lean mass ↑
73.6% lean mass ↑
24.5 lbs subcutaneous fat ↓
Visceral fat index 6 | LOW
57.4% body water ↑
44.3 lbs intracellular water
Metabolic age 39 vs chronological age 45
Metabolic Momentum 10
Metabolic Capacity 88

THAT is the part I care about.

Because my goal isn't simply weight loss anymore.

It's metabolic health.

And metabolic health is much bigger than being lighter.

It's preserving and building metabolically active tissue. It's maintaining muscle as I age. It's keeping visceral fat low. It's being adequately fueled and hydrated. It's recovering from training. It's having the capacity to handle food, movement and everyday stress without constantly needing to restrict harder.

This is exactly why I've shifted into Operation Build Muscle. 💪🏼

I'm not chasing the lowest possible body weight.

I'm eating enough to support my body.
I'm prioritizing protein.
I'm strength training.
I'm supporting circadian alignment.
I'm paying attention to sleep and recovery.
And I'm allowing the scale to fluctuate inside my maintenance range while I work on what that weight is actually made of.

And THIS is the fascinating part:

125.9 → 126.1 lbs while losing 3.75 inches.

If I only watched the scale, I could conclude that basically nothing happened during August.

The tape measure says otherwise.

My body composition says otherwise.

And that's the lesson I want women to understand:

Weight loss and metabolic progress are not synonymous.

Sometimes progress looks like losing pounds.

Sometimes it looks like maintaining weight while your waist gets smaller.

And sometimes the biggest win is reaching the point where you no longer need the scale to go down to know you're moving forward.

That's where I am now

September is the new January. You already know what January looks like. The first week is good. The second week is fine. By the third week it's dark at four in the afternoon, the motivation has quietly left, and you're waiting for the next reasonable moment to start again. That isn't a discipline problem. January is genuinely the hardest month of the year to build a habit in- no light, no routine, and everyone around you failing at the same thing at the same time. September is different. The light is still here. The calendar has a shape again.

So we're not waiting. Sherri, Sly and are running a 90-day reset from September 15 to December 13. Twelve live calls, all three of us on every single one, and we go straight through the holidays instead of stopping for them. Five daily habits built around your body clock same wake time, ten minutes of morning light, a protein-forward first meal, closing the kitchen at night, a proper wind-down. No meal plan. Nothing off limits. About fifteen minutes a day.

⏰It's $199. Now Through Monday it's half price $99.50 for Labor Day. Twenty-five places, and we cap it there so the hot seats stay real.

On January 1 you won't be starting. You'll have already finished.

☀️ WELLNESS WEDNESDAY THE SCALE WENT UP… AND I’M GOOD WITH IT.

Yep. 127 lbs.

And if I were still living by the old rules, I might look at that number and immediately think:

What did I do wrong?
Do I need to eat less?
Do I need more cardio?

But the scale is only ONE signal.

Look at what happened underneath that number:

⬇️ Body fat: 22.8%
⬆️ Lean mass: 92.5 lbs
⬆️ Skeletal muscle: 53.8 lbs
➡️ Visceral fat: 6 and LOW
⬆️ Body water: 56.9%
⬆️ BMR: 1299
⬇️ Metabolic age: 39
⬆️ Health Score: 827, VERY HIGH
⬆️ Metabolic Momentum: 10

The scale went up.
Body fat went down.
Lean mass went up.

THAT is exactly why I don't coach women to spend their lives chasing a smaller number.

I'm in maintenance now, and maintenance doesn't mean stagnation.

It means I'm shifting the goal.

I'm not trying to become smaller and smaller. I'm working to become stronger, more metabolically resilient, better hydrated, better fueled, and harder to break as I age.

This is body recomposition.

And this is also why I talk so much about signals over calories and progress over perfection.

Your metabolism is giving you information all day long through your sleep, hunger, energy, temperature, recovery, strength, body composition, glucose response, digestion and yes, your weight.

The mistake is making ONE of those signals the entire story.

127 lbs isn't the story.

The story is what my body is doing at 127 lbs.

And right now?

I'm building. 💪🏼☀️

No Pills. No Pokes. No Potions.
Just learning how to work WITH my biology instead of constantly fighting it.

🌱 EVERYONE SEES THE FRUIT. FEW PEOPLE SEE THE ROOTS THAT CREATED IT.

People may see the weight I have lost, the muscle I'm building, the energy, the confidence.
Those are the fruits.

They did not come from one perfect diet, supplement, workout, or metabolic hack. They came from years of building roots nobody could see.

Morning light when nobody was watching. Protecting my sleep. Nourishing instead of restricting. Bringing foods back instead of fearing them. Walking, lifting, hydrating, regulating my nervous system, setting boundaries, learning to trust my inner compass again.

And plenty of seasons where I questioned whether any of it was working.
That is the part we do not talk about enough. We want fruit before we have given the roots time. So the scale stalls and we start digging everything up. Fewer carbs. Eat less. Train harder. One more supplement. One more protocol. Start over.
But you would not dig up a tree every few weeks to check on its roots. You would give it light, water, good soil, a protected environment, and the thing our culture cannot stand: TIME.

Maybe our bodies deserve that same patience.

Do not mistake invisible progress for no progress. Maybe you are not in your fruit season yet. Maybe you are in your root season. 🌱

If you are tired of starting over every time the fruit does not show up fast enough, that is exactly what we build together with the Aligned Metabolism Method™ and the accountability. Link at www.BeckyNilesCoaching.com. ☀️

Alignment restores metabolic trust.
Keep Going, Becky.

🌿 WELLNESS Wednesday 🌿

The scale went UP 0.2 lb this week… and I’m calling that PROGRESS. 💪

Because this is exactly why I keep saying:

The scale is ONE signal. It is NOT the whole story.

This week:
⚖️ Weight: 126.1 lbs ⬆️ 0.2
🌿 Still comfortably in my maintenance range
📉 Body fat: 23.3%
💪 Lean mass increased across multiple areas
💧 Body water: 56.5% and steady
🛡️ Visceral fat: 6 and LOW
🧬 Health Score: 603 ⬆️
🔥 Metabolic Momentum: 7 ⬆️ and trending up all week

And THIS is what I've been working toward.

I'm no longer trying to make myself smaller every week.

I'm working on building muscle.

I'm working on maintaining the weight I've lost since I officially structured AMM 66lbs...since cruise (May '24 my second time over 200lbs) I'm down 80.6lbs

I'm working on improving body composition.
I'm working on becoming stronger, more metabolically resilient and harder to break as I age.

Could I manipulate the scale downward? Absolutely.

But why would I sacrifice the very tissue I'm intentionally trying to BUILD just to see a smaller number?

That 0.2 lb increase doesn't tell me I went backwards.

When I zoom out and look at the other signals, my body is telling a much different story.

Maintenance weight + more lean mass + less body fat = exactly the direction I'm working toward.

This is also why Wellness Wednesday isn't just a weigh-in anymore.

It's a check-in with the whole picture.

Because metabolic health isn't one number.

It's the collection of signals telling us how the body is adapting to what we're consistently asking it to do.

Signals > Scale.
Progress > Perfection.
Consistency > Extremes.

Keep stacking the signals. 🌿💪

☀️ School started this week for a lot of you next week it begins a first full week
And the bedtime battle starts right along with it.
Here's the part I want you to remember: you cannot force a body to fall asleep earlier.
Sleep is not a decision. It's a result.
The clock that decides when you get sleepy tonight got set this morning. By light. In the eyes. Early!
So if bedtime is the fight, stop fighting bedtime. (yes dark at night is needed too)

🌅 Move the morning instead.
Outside within an hour of waking. No sunglasses. Even for a few minutes while the breakfast cools.
Here's what most people don't realize: the brightest room in your house doesn't come close to a gray sky outside. Not close. Not in the same universe.
Your body can tell the difference. Your ceiling light cannot compete with the sky.
Read that again.

And do this for yourself first, before you try to enforce it on anybody else. The kids follow what they see, not what they're told.
☁️ Cloudy counts
⏱️ Three minutes counts
🌾 Standing on the gravel in your slippers counts.
Give your body a better signal today than you did yesterday.

💛 Tell me below what time does your house have to be up next week?

Strength isn't a feeling it's what you do when you don't feel it. Rest, breathe, and stay. That counts. 💛
