Safe swimming starts with public health!

As you enjoy the pools, splash pads, and water parks that make summer fun, remember there’s a team working behind the scenes to help keep those waters safe.

Since spring, our Environmental Health Team has been hard at work inspecting and regulating public aquatic facilities to help ensure proper water quality, sanitation, and safety standards are met.

These efforts help protect swimmers of all ages from potential health risks, including waterborne illnesses, unsafe water conditions, and other hazards that can impact public health.

Every inspection helps support cleaner, safer recreational waters and a healthier community.

So go ahead, make a splash and enjoy the water knowing public health is helping keep it safe! 💙

Don’t give your pets another reason to side-eye you!

Your pets breathe in smoke too, and secondhand cannabis smoke can affect their health just like it affects people.

Video Description:
A series of different dogs giving side-eye looks toward the camera. On-screen text reads, "POV: you sparked up next to your dog." The audio repeats, "Bombastic side-eye, criminal offensive side-eye," as each dog's expression appears in succession.
