Phipps Chiropractic Doctor David Phipps is a chiropractor at Phipps Chiropractic in Richardson, TX. I learned first hand from some of the legends in my profession. It is incredible.

Dr. Phipps graduated in 1986, in the Charter Class, from the prestigious Parker College of Chiropractic, where he earned the Clinical Excellency Award. “My favorite classes were the Chiropractic Philosophy and the Technique classes. Dr. Parker was so highly esteemed in Chiropractic that we were able to draw the best instructors and speakers in the country. It was an amazing education.”

Dr. Phipps has been in practice for 28 years. “I’ll move the bone; God will do the healing.” Truth is, our Creator built in us the ability to self-regulate and self-heal. Our environment and our circumstances have often prevented this from happening. “My job is to find the problem, fix the problem, and step back and watch the body heal. I love my job!”

That popping sound during an adjustment is not your bones grinding or shifting into place, it is actually a small release of gas bubbles from within the joint, a process called cavitation. It sounds dramatic, but it is a normal and harmless part of how the joint moves more freely afterwards. Understanding what is really happening can make the whole experience feel a lot less intimidating.

Not every adjustment involves a hands-on twist, some patients respond better to an instrument-assisted technique that delivers a precise, gentle impulse to a specific joint. It is often a good fit for those who are new to care, have sensitive joints, or simply prefer a lighter touch. Ask us whether this approach might suit you better than a traditional adjustment.

Most people wait until pain is unbearable before booking a first chiropractic visit, but the body often gives quieter signals long before that point, like stiffness after sitting or a shoulder that just does not sit right. Coming in for a check earlier often means a simpler path to feeling better, not a bigger project down the road. If something has felt slightly off for a while, that is reason enough to come in and talk about it.

Most people never think about how their body is positioned while they sleep. If you wake up with a stiff neck, a nagging ache in your lower back, or a hand that feels numb before you’re even out of bed, the position you sleep in might be working against your spine every night without you realizing...

This or that: heat or ice for a tense lower back? Both have their place, but knowing when to use each one can make a real difference in how quickly you feel relief. Tell us which one you reach for first.

Better posture and less tension do not usually come from one big change, they build from small actions repeated often enough to stick. A short stretch break, a few minutes of movement, or just noticing how you are sitting, small and frequent tends to beat rare and intense every time. You do not need to overhaul your whole day to feel a difference.

If you spend your days at a desk or on your feet all day, a spinal screening can help identify small issues before they turn into bigger ones. It takes just a few minutes and gives us a clear picture of how your spine is really doing. Ask us about scheduling one at your next visit.

When someone is searching for a chiropractor, a review that mentions a specific concern, like migraines, a sports injury, or trouble sleeping, often means more than a general five-star rating. It helps future patients see themselves in that experience and feel more confident reaching out. If a specific part of your care stood out to you, mentioning it in a review could help someone with that exact concern find us.

Progress with chiropractic care rarely moves in a straight line, and that is completely normal. Some weeks bring noticeable change and others feel steady, but consistency over time is what tends to make the real difference. Staying with your plan, even on the slower weeks, is part of what gets you there.
