Thank you to Mary, Pastoral Care Director for all the detailed work that went into this year’s resident retreat. This retreat was under the direction of our formal Pastoral Care assistant, Ellen Barber. Ellen is a certified lay ecclesial minister with the Diocese of Cleveland as well as an ignition spiritual Director. Members of religious communities and clergy, as well as many lay people participate in an annual retreat as an element of their commitment to religious life. Here at Regina Health Center we are committed to maintaining such observances and traditions as a way of continuing to participate in religious life. It’s one of the many things that sets us apart and we are blessed to be able to offer an annual retreat.

Once again, our Friends at KeyBank stepped up to the plate, with the generosity of their time and "sweat equity" for their annual "Neighbors Make The Difference Day". Several members of KeyBank's many locations came to help beautify our “Madonna Garden” with mulching our flower beds. They were under the direction of Summit County Master Gardeners, Karen Thomas who provides monthly Master Gardener programs for our Residents, as well as a weekly Horticulture Class for the Residents in our special care community. Thank you to all who made a tremendous difference today at Regina Health Center!

Activities had "Foodie Fun" one afternoon with a "Make Your Own Trail Mix" snack bar. Residents said they loved picking some of their favorite combinations and there were some very interesting ones with plenty of nostalgic snacks to choose!

This Memorial Day, Regina Health Center honors the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom. We remember their courage and express our deepest gratitude to our veteran residents, staff, and families who have served our nation. May we always remember their sacrifice and live in a way that honors their legacy.

Spring 🌼 is finally upon us. Sam in Activities brought a fun dandelion painting project to our residents recently and a few surprised themselves with how great they came out! We surely have some true artist 🧑‍🎨 living here.

The fantastic Cuyahoga Valley Concert Band joined us recently for an evening concert, as part of their Spring/Summer concert series. They always draw a great crowd and somehow "the chicken dance" ended up becoming a part of the evening haha 🤣 🐥
