For the third year in a row, CrossOver has been awarded a Gold Seal from the National Association of Free and Charitable Clinics (NAFC).

“This recognition by the NAFC validates that CrossOver is delivering the high-quality care we strive for,” said Julie Bilodeau, CrossOver CEO. “This is a reflection of the commitment of our amazing employee and volunteer team.”

CrossOver is excited to announce that Dr. Danielle Avula is now Medical Director, Maternal & Child Health!

CrossOver Healthcare Ministry is the only provider of both obstetric and pediatric care for uninsured patients in Central Virginia. As we anticipate the opening of our new Maternal Child Clinic this fall, we are grateful for Dr. Avula's willingness to step in to this elevated leadership role, which is an instrumental part of CrossOver’s strategic investment in family and community care.

“CrossOver’s innovative approach to maternal and child health will improve outcomes for mothers and babies across Central Virginia,” said Julie Bilodeau, CEO. “Dr. Avula’s expertise and focus is key to the development of a comprehensive program that combines clinical services with education and social support.”

“Because I knew Spanish, I ended up helping them and translating,” she said. “The patients were so happy to have someone who talked and looked like them. That experience really made an impact on me, so that’s where I’m trying to go.”"
