Today, we turned the page on an exciting new chapter for Grand River Health.

With our Board of Directors, leadership, staff, partners, community leaders and, most importantly, our community by our side, we officially broke ground on our new Medical Office Building!

This milestone represents decades of growth, planning and commitment while looking ahead to a sustainable future and the healthcare needs that will come with it.

The new three story, 45,000 square foot facility will expand access to care and create space for Orthopedics and Podiatry, Physical and Occupational Therapy, a state-of-the-art Therapy Pool, and dedicated Pediatric Speech and Physical Therapy services. We are scheduled to welcome patients into this new space in January 2028.

A project of this magnitude takes an incredible team, and we are grateful for the partners who are helping bring this vision to life. Thank you to FCI Constructors, Davis Partnership Architects and SGM for your commitment to building excellence. We are proud to partner with you once again and cannot wait to see this beautiful addition to our Main Campus take shape.

We also want to recognize our Bond Committee for being our boots on the ground, connecting with our community, listening to their needs and advocating for the space and services necessary to support our region’s growth. We would not have had the honor of standing together today with shovels in hand without your dedication and hard work.

A special thank you to Rifle Mayor Clint Hostettler, County Commissioner and Grand River Health Board Member Perry Will, and President of Grand River Health’s Board of Directors Todd Ellis for sharing your words, leadership and support during today’s celebration.

Additionally, we'd like to thank Ann Adams, Principal of Davis Partnership Architects, for your leadership, partnership and dedication to helping bring this vision to life. We are grateful for your continued collaboration and the expertise you bring to this project.

And finally, thank you to our community. Your support and your vote made this investment possible. This groundbreaking is about more than a building. It is about investing in the future of healthcare close to home and ensuring Grand River Health can continue growing alongside the communities we serve.

Hoy, comenzamos un nuevo y emocionante capítulo para Grand River Health.

Con nuestra Junta Directiva, líderes, personal, socios, líderes comunitarios y, lo más importante, nuestra comunidad a nuestro lado, oficialmente colocamos la primera piedra de nuestro nuevo Edificio de Oficinas Médicas.

Este momento representa décadas de crecimiento, planificación y compromiso, mientras miramos hacia un futuro sostenible y las necesidades de atención médica que vendrán con él.

El nuevo edificio de tres pisos y 45,000 pies cuadrados ampliará el acceso a la atención médica y contará con espacios para Ortopedia y Podología, Terapia Física y Ocupacional, una piscina terapéutica de última generación y servicios dedicados de Terapia Física y de Habla para niños. Está programado que recibamos a nuestros pacientes en este nuevo espacio en enero de 2028.

Un proyecto de esta magnitud requiere de un equipo increíble, y estamos muy agradecidos con los socios que están ayudando a hacer realidad esta visión. Gracias a FCI Constructors, Davis Partnership Architects y SGM por su compromiso con la excelencia en la construcción. Estamos orgullosos de asociarnos con ustedes una vez más y no podemos esperar para ver cómo esta hermosa adición a nuestro Campus Principal comienza a tomar forma.

Grand River Health Earns Top Marks on 2026 Lown Institute Rankings

Grand River Health has earned national and statewide recognition in the 2026 Lown Hospitals Index for Social Responsibility, receiving “A” grades in Health Equity, Inclusivity, Community Benefit and Pay Equity.

The annual Lown Hospitals Index evaluates hospitals on their commitment to social responsibility, including how equitably they deliver care, invest in their communities and provide high-value care to patients.

Among Critical Access Hospitals, Grand River Health received the following distinctions:
• #1 in Colorado for Health Equity and Inclusivity
• Top 10 in the nation for Health Equity
• “A” grades in Health Equity, Inclusivity, Community Benefit and Pay Equity

These rankings reflect Grand River Health’s continued commitment to providing equitable, accessible care and supporting the health and well-being of the communities it serves.

“The best hospitals aren’t just clinically excellent, they're deeply committed to the communities they serve and work hard to ensure all patients get the care they need,” said Vikas Saini, MD, president of the Lown Institute. “High performance on the Lown Index shows that hospitals are doing more of what matters to patients and communities.”

The Lown Hospitals Index is the only national ranking that examines how equitably care is delivered, how well hospitals invest in their communities, and whether patients receive high-value care that avoids unnecessary procedures, in addition to clinical measures. More than 50 metrics contribute to a hospital’s overall score.

A very fun afternoon playing softball with great community minded organizations! Congratulations Alpine Bank for winning first place! Youdeserved it. You are a team to be reckoned with! Good job to the Grand River Health grand slammers for coming in second. Great job to Garfield 16 and CFL and Grand Valley Rec Center for rounding out the teams! It was an amazing way to spend an afternoon! This was the first year and we hope to see more teams next year!
