The nervous system is remarkably adaptable, which is both a strength and a challenge when it comes to spinal care. When patterns of restriction have been present for a long time, the brain learns to work around them rather than correct them. Regular adjustments give the nervous system consistent, accurate input, helping it relearn what normal movement actually feels like. That is why the benefits of care tend to compound the longer you stay with it.

A lot of people assume chiropractic care is only useful once pain is already significant. In reality, many of the most impactful visits happen in the earlier stages, before compensation patterns have had time to settle in. If something feels a little off but has not become a major problem yet, that is often the ideal time to come in.
