Jackson General Hospital Earns National Recognition from Becker’s Hospital Review for Exceptional Patient Experience
RIPLEY, W.Va. — Jackson General Hospital has once again been recognized by Becker’s Hospital Review as one of the nation’s most highly recommended hospitals by patients, earning a place on Becker’s prestigious May 2026 list of “Hospitals Patients Would Highly Recommend.”
The recognition is based on Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (HCAHPS) survey data collected and reported by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). The patient recommendation rating reflects whether patients would recommend a hospital to their friends and family based on the care and experience they received.
According to Becker’s, 765 hospitals nationwide achieved the highest five-star patient recommendation rating. Jackson General Hospital was one of just 14 hospitals in West Virginia to receive this distinction, placing the organization in the top 12% of the nation’s hospitals recognized for exceptional patient experience and community trust.
Becker’s Hospital Review is one of the nation’s leading healthcare publications, providing news, rankings, and analysis for healthcare executives and organizations across the country. The publication’s patient recommendation rankings are based on publicly reported CMS data and serve as a valuable measure of patient satisfaction and confidence in their healthcare providers.
