The Haven had the most beautiful afternoon last Friday celebrating our wonderful residents at our Spring Tea! ☕

Over teacups and sweet fellowship, the residents enjoyed a floral-inspired devotional reminding us that just like a Master Gardener's bouquet, every single one of us is a unique flower in God's garden. Whether you are a bold rose, a delicate lily, or a sweet, hidden wildflower, your life adds unique, spectacular color, fragrance, and beauty to His world. You are gorgeous, inside and out, and you were made with a purpose! The world needs you in its beautiful bouquet.

Our residents at The Haven are absolutely thrilled with the stunning new roses planted in our courtyard! Your kindness has brought so much joy, color, and beauty to our home. Our residents love spending time outside, and these roses will bring smiles for years to come.

Thank you for volunteering your time and green thumbs to make our community brighter!

Patriotic songs were sung and Chaplain Glen Shirk guided silent prayer for our nation, state, and local community.

Our Terraces residents had fun celebrating Cinco de Mayo!

Residents had the option of eating tacos, elote-style soup, rice, and beans with a mocktail margarita yesterday in celebration of the holiday! 🌮

We brought our favorite 'seasoned citizens' together for an outdoor BBQ today, and it was a smash hit. Thank you to everyone who made this day special! 🥗☀

Our residents enjoyed a delicious lunch filled with classic hot dogs, fresh air, and great company. Moments like these make memories that matter. ❤🌭

Happy 100th birthday, Hermina!! 🎊

Yesterday, Hermina Oosterkamp celebrated her 100th birthday in a testimony to the Lord's faithfulness. In fact, His faithfulness is something of which she often reminds us. She's well known for her love for the Lord. In her own words, "I want to sing my songs for Jesus all day long."

Here are a few stories about Hermina from our staff:

"Hermina is such a blessing to all who know her at Bethany. She can be found telling anyone who walks by that "we need Jesus, all day long." 100 years and still witnessing. Happy birthday, Hermina!!" (Lisa Bauman)

"I really love to hear Hermina when she randomly sings "Jesus Loves Me" and when she repeats "Praise Jesus all the day long, all the day long." It always refocuses me and reminds me to keep my eyes and my heart on the Lord." (Daneka Akens)
