On Friday, August 21, residents from the Terraces spent the day in Sacramento! 😎

They enjoyed lunch at a cute little cafe in downtown Sacramento before heading over to Sutter's Fort. The day was filled with interesting facts about John Sutter and time period displays. They wrapped up their day with 7-Eleven Slurpees. It gets no better than that! 😊

🥧Happy National Peach Pie Day!🍑

There is nothing quite like the magic of a from-scratch peach pie, especially when it is baked with love and shared with generations of wisdom. Today, our wonderful seniors at The Haven and ADS are celebrating with warm, flaky crusts and sweet, juicy peaches. We also welcomed a special guest: She shared wonderful stories and taught us all about peaches. Nothing beats local fruit, sweet traditions, and great company. Some recipes truly only get better with age. What is your favorite way to eat peaches?

B is for B House Banana bread! 🍌🍞

The Kitchen in B house was filled with the incredible aroma of fresh banana bread over the weekend. The Residents from B and C houses had a wonderful time mashing bananas, mixing ingredients, and keeping a close eye on the oven.

Of course, the absolute best part of baking is a tradition that you never outgrow -trying to lick the spoon! Do you prefer the end piece or the middle slice of warm banana bread? Let us know in the comments!

Bethany is pleased to announce that Keenon Krick has been extended and accepted the position of Chief Executive Officer! Keenon comes to Bethany with over 20 years of experience leading nonprofits and human service organizations. Keenon joined Bethany in June and has been getting to know staff and residents through a number of meet and greets. He looks forward to championing Bethany’s vision to serve interactive generations by becoming a leading resource on aging.
