I want to explain why my Placenta Encapsulation service is $450 and why I require a $200 deposit. 🤎
I understand that trusting someone with your placenta is very personal. I’ve recently seen stories that may make families nervous about placenta services, and it makes me sad because there are providers who truly take this responsibility seriously.
My $200 deposit is not about taking your money or holding your placenta. It reserves your service and protects the time, preparation, supplies, pickup/drop-off arrangements, and storage I set aside specifically for your family.
I started requiring a deposit after helping families with last-minute requests without one. Unfortunately, I’ve had situations where I prepared for a service or accepted a placenta into my care and then could no longer reach the family. I love helping families whenever I can, but I also have to protect my time, business, supplies, and limited storage space.
So, why $450? Placenta encapsulation is much more than simply putting placenta into capsules. I use single-use supplies whenever possible, professional-grade cleaning and disinfecting products for reusable equipment, and I thoroughly clean, steam, and sanitize my instruments between clients. Because I also work in birth support and as a birth assistant, proper handling, cleanliness, and sanitation are extremely important to me. I will not cut corners simply to make my service cheaper.
Your $450 service includes placenta encapsulation, pickup & drop-off within my service area, and a cord keepsake. The $200 deposit reserves your service, and the remaining $250 is due according to your agreement.
Most importantly, your placenta belongs to YOU. You deserve communication, transparency, respect, and to know where your placenta is throughout the process. Thank you to every family who has trusted Team Mama Magic LLC with something so personal. 🤎
