Help Us Build a Forever Home for Communication, Growth, and Hope
**We need the help of our community to make a dream come true.**
Speech Avenues Therapy Co. was built on a simple but powerful belief: **every person deserves the opportunity to communicate, connect, and be heard.**
For years, we have provided occupational therapy (OT) and speech therapy (ST) to children and adults with communication and developmental needs. But our vision has continued to grow.
Three years ago, Erica Gallinat and Gail Walter founded **SATC Communication Cultivation Academy**, a nonprofit therapeutic school serving children with autism who are minimally verbal or nonverbal, from kindergarten through 12th grade.
Today, Speech Avenues Therapy Co. and the Academy share a 5,500-square-foot rental space. It has been an incredible home for us—but **our children, families, therapists, and programs have outgrown it.**
Now we have an opportunity that could change our future.
We have the chance to purchase a **6,800-square-foot property with a yard** and create a permanent home where our children can learn, communicate, receive therapy, develop life skills, and thrive.
Owning this property would provide much-needed stability for both Speech Avenues Therapy Co. and the Academy. It would give the school a beautiful physical space to continue growing while helping protect it from the uncertainty of rising rent and changing leases.
But this is about so much more than a building.
**It is about what we will be able to do inside that building.**
With room to grow, we can expand our feeding and swallowing program. We can develop vocational training opportunities for older students and young adults. We can create additional programs and services that help children move toward greater independence, confidence, and meaningful participation in their communities.
This dream is deeply personal to me.
**I have saved approximately half of what is needed to make this lifelong dream a reality.** I have invested in this because I believe with my whole heart in what these children can accomplish when they are given the right support, opportunities, and people who refuse to give up on their potential.
My life's dream has been to show children with autism—and the people who love and care for them—that **they can become successful communicators. Their voices matter. Their futures matter.**
