Horses Healing Hearts

Horses Healing Hearts Equine Assisted Psychotherapy Equine Assisted Psychotherapy, or EAP, is one of the most effective forms of experiential therapies.

EAP uses interactive activities in place of traditional sessions. With EAP, sessions are designed to meet your unique needs. The activities in each session require you and the horse to accomplish a specific goal. Your reaction to the horse, and the horse’s reaction to you, can lead to better communication and interaction with others. It can also assist you in moving towards accomplishing your pers

onal goals. With EAP you will discover new, more effective solutions for the challenges in your life.

This Memorial Day, we honor and remember the military service members who gave their lives in service to our country, and we hold space for the lasting impact carried by many veterans and their families.
In this new Health Campaign video, veterans courageously share their stories and how connection with horses helped them find a way through, even when nothing else was working.
At Horses Healing Hearts, we’re proud to offer mental health and wellbeing services incorporating horses for veterans and their families in our community. With your support, more people can access this work when they need it most.
Please share this video to help spread awareness, and consider supporting our program via this link: https://horsesformentalhealth.org/campaigns/horses-healing-hearts/

Thank you to and for supporting both the programs and the horses at the heart of this work.
And to all of our veterans and service members in our community, thank you for all that you do.

This video premiered at the fundraising concert on Friday. Much appreciation to Noah Dalton at Dahu Studios, Rolla, MO, who captured the feel of our program. Be sure to have sound on as it really adds to it. Noah said it took him a couple of hours to find the right music and he nailed it.

What an amazing night!!! Although the horses had to leave early due to the inclement weather, we did not let the rain dampen the event. Thanks to our sponsors, Animal Health Center of Rolla, Gaelle Chapon Coaching, McCall’s Floormart, and The Village, and the folks who attended the concert last night, we raised over $3100 for the Horses for Mental Health Fundraising Campaign. We greatly appreciate your support to bring equine assisted therapy to our youths and military families. And of course a great big thanks to Scott Helmer, an amazing musician and entertainer. It was a pleasure and an honor to meet him.
