Lenvil D. Skaggs, age 74, of Russell Springs, KY passed away Thursday, October 29, 2026, at Russell County Hospital.

He was born on Wednesday, March 26, 1952, in Somerset, Kentucky.

He was the son of:
Mother - Wilmoth Hart Skaggs, who has preceded him in death
Father - Hobert Skaggs, who has preceded him in death

Survivors also include:
Wife - Toni Skaggs of Russell Springs, KY

1 Daughter:
Elizabeth Skaggs, of Russell Springs KY

1 Son:
Cliff Skaggs, spouse Jansen, of Russell Springs KY.

3 Sisters:

Lida Flynn, of Smith's Grove KY

Lenvil was a carpet layer by trade and a farmer until his health no longer allowed, He enjoyed spending time greeting and visiting the customers at Russell County Farm Store. He was a member of RS1 Baptist Church. Pallbearers: Cliff Skaggs, Brian McElroy, Bryan McDonald, Aiden McDonald, Tyler Grant and Logan Robertson. Honorary pallbearers: Leonard Skaggs, Oliver Skaggs, Steve Richardson, Roy Richardson, Hunter McQueary and Roger Stargle.

Officiating: Mark Pottebawm and Daniel Wilson

Graveside services will be 1 PM Saturday, October 31, 2026, at New Friendship United Baptist Church Cemetery, Russell Springs, KY.

There will be no visitation.

Mrs. JUDY LEE (FOLEY) JAMES, of Russell Springs, Kentucky passed away Tuesday, October 20, 2026 at the Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee, having attained the age of 79 years, 9 months & 27 days.

She was born in Russell County, Kentucky on Monday, December 23, 1946 the daughter of Vernon & Elizabeth Lee (Wilson) Foley. She was of the Baptist Faith, a member of New Friendship Baptist Church, a graduate of Russell County High School class of 1965, received her secretarial degree from Somerset Vocational School, was a homemaker, worked at Russell Sportswear, was a Vet Tech for Dr. Wade, and retired as clinical secretary from Adanta.

She loved tending flowers, keeping her yard neat, gardening and crafting. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Kenny Ray Foley.

She is survived by her husband, Ernest Smythe James, whom she wed on Saturday, December 30, 1967; Her daughter, Stacey Lynn (James) Overly of Jamestown, Kentucky; Her son, Brian Lee James of Russell Springs; Grandchildren, Justin Neil James, Haley Marie James, Sara Elizabeth Overly & Seth Addison Overly; Her aunt, Edith Vivian Wilson; Sisters-in-law, Sharon Foley & Barbara James; Nieces, Alison McQueary & Margaret Sue Huseman; Nephew, Alan (& Micah) Foley; and many many friends.

The Funeral Service will be conducted on Saturday, October 24, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. C.S.T. in The Chapel of Wilson Funeral Home in Russell Springs with Burial in the New Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery in Russell County. The family will receive friends after 10:00 a.m. C.S.T. Saturday morning October 24, at the Wilson Funeral Home until the funeral hour.

Timothy Dale Carter, age 63, of Russell Springs, KY passed away Wednesday, October 21 2026 at Hospice of Lake Cumberland.

He was born on Sunday, September 22 1963, in Columbia, KY.

He was the son of:
Mother - Pearly Brown Carter, who has preceded him in death
Father - Hollis Carter, who has preceded him in death

He is survived by a host of nieces and nephews both great and great great. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Carolyn Scholl, Cleda Wolford, Mitchell Carter, David Lee Carter and Bonita McWhorter. Timothy was an avid chess player, historian and loved video games and attended Faith General Baptist Church in the past. He was a wonderful brother and a favorite uncle, was always quick witted and funny and was always willing to help someone if they needed. Being disabled from birth, Timothy overcame many obstacles in life.

Graveside services will be 2:00 PM Friday, October 23 2026 at Tarter Cemetery, Russell Springs, KY.

Interment will be in Tarter Cemetery, Russell Springs, KY.

Henry Fugate Obituary
Henry Fugate, age 87, of Russell Springs, KY passed away Sunday, October 18 2026.

He was born on Sunday, February 05 1939, in Hindman, Ky.

He was the son of:
Mother - Evie Sloan Fugate, who has preceded him in death
Father - Dan Fugate, who has preceded him in death

Survivors also include:

1 Daughter:

· Kimberly Nelson, spouse Mark, of Westchester OH

1 Brother:

· Jim Fugate, spouse Patty, of Hazard KY

He is also survived by one grandson, Christopher (Erica) Wi******er, two great-grandchildren, Alexa and Daxton Wi******er along with a host of nieces and nephews, including special niece and nephew, Ronda (Willie) Begley and Joey (Rhonda) Fugate.

He was a machine operator and of the Southern Baptist Faith. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Jenny, his siblings, Lois, Junior, Daisy, Ruth, J.E. and David. Henry loved sitting on the front porch watching traffic go to the lake. He loved Lake Cumberland and Russell County, boat riding, fishing and hunting.

He loved his family and loved being a papa. Henry was a good neighbor in his community and he loved his neighbors, many of whom were very good to him in the last years, showing up when needed.

Funeral services will be 2 PM Wednesday, October 21 2026 at Wilson Funeral Home, 391 East Steve Wariner Drive, Russell Springs, KY.

Visitation will be 11 AM Wednesday, October 21 2026 at Wilson Funeral Home, 391 East Steve Wariner Drive, Russell Springs, KY.

Interment will be in Union Cemetery, Highway 3525, Russell Springs, KY.
