Support for parents starts with connection and practical tools. 💡

Dr. Kerry Bordieri will be leading an Intro to Behavior Management Parent Group through our Autism Services Program beginning June 2. The virtual group will meet Tuesdays at 3:30 PM via Zoom and is open to parents of individuals with neurodevelopmental disorders, including ADHD.

Topics include:
• Understanding behavior
• Teaching replacement behaviors
• Reward systems
• Visual supports
• Environmental strategies

PTSD Doesn't Always Look Like Flashbacks...

PTSD can look like irritability, exhaustion, overreacting, shutting down, or constantly feeling unsafe.

Many people believe PTSD only happens after combat or extreme events. In reality, trauma can impact the nervous system in ways that affect relationships, sleep, emotions, focus, and physical health.

PTSD symptoms may include:

-Hypervigilance
-Emotional numbness
-Panic or anxiety
-Avoidance
-Difficulty trusting others
-Feeling “on edge”
-Intrusive memories
-Trouble sleeping

Trauma responses are survival responses — not character flaws.
