Drowning can happen quickly and silently, but many tragedies are preventable. This World Drowning Prevention Day, take simple steps to help keep yourself, your family, and your community safe.

💙 At home: Install barriers around pools and other water hazards, and always provide constant, active adult supervision around water.

🦺 On the water: Wear a properly fitted life jacket, avoid alcohol and drugs, and follow safe water practices.

🚨 In emergencies: Learn CPR, monitor weather conditions, and know how to respond quickly during water-related incidents.

🤝 In the community: Promote water safety education, share drowning prevention knowledge, and support local efforts to create safer environments.
