We believe that humans can be healthy at every size! We want to be a welcoming place that you look forward to coming to so that we can accompany you on your road to wellness, and therefore strive to meet people where they are at by keeping judgment and shame out of the clinic. Thank you for creating this awesome poster for us to spread far and wide.

Did you know that acupuncture has a new official day in California? In 2023 Assembly Member Low introduced HR 48 to declare July 12 California Acupuncture Day. Here’s an excerpt from the Legislative Counsel’s Digest:

"WHEREAS, Many Californians have come to rely on acupuncturists as their first choice of health care practitioners for low-risk, cost-effective, and reliable health care; now, therefore, be it resolved by the Assembly of the State of California, That the Assembly hereby proclaims July 12 as California Acupuncture Day, and encourages all Californians to consider the use of acupuncture."

Your acupuncture treatment may include points on your arms and hands, legs and feet, and/or head, neck, and ears. Because acupuncture channels flow across the entire body it is possible to treat back problems, for example, with points on the hands and feet. You will not need to undress, but please do wear loose clothing that can comfortably roll up to your elbows and knees. This year's summer solstice is on June 21st. This change of the season brings more heat, an abundance of sunlight, and an opportunity to expand outwards into the world. In Chinese medicine summertime is the season of the Heart and Small Intestine. For more information on how to tend to these organs and also tend to the symptoms that may arise from excess heat like: red face, constipation, irritability, mental restlessness, and sleep disturbances, check out Dawn’s latest blog post: https://buff.ly/3XL4MnD
