I found myself saying something that probably sounds a little strange coming from an injector 🤨 but I truly think these are some of the most important conversations we can have with our patients.

I NEVVVERR want someone chasing a result with the wrong tool.

I’d MUCH rather tell someone truthfully, “I think you’ve maxed out the benefit here,” than continue doing something that isn’t going to move the needle for their results.

Maybe that’s not the best business advice but it’s the advice I’d want someone to give me 🙂‍↔️ This is YOUR investment and I just want you to be getting the biggest return out of it!

I have to be real with you. Social media makes it seem like you walk in with thin lips and walk out 45 minutes later with a completely different face. 😅

But good filler usually doesn’t work like that.

With her lips, we intentionally took a slower approach because the goal wasn’t just “make them bigger.” The goal was to make them look soft, balanced, and natural long term.

At the first appointment, we used a thinner filler. The goal was to fill in any little spaces and create a smoother foundation first before trying to build more shape and structure on top of it later.

Kind of like when you pour sand over rocks to fill in the gaps before stacking more… because if you skip that step and just keep adding volume immediately, things can start looking heavy, uneven, or overly projected really fast.

Then once everything settled nicely, we completed a second session where we could build more volume in a way that still fit her face and natural lip shape.

THIS is the kind of stuff nobody really explains online. Everyone sees the “after” photo, but they don’t see the strategy, patience, or restraint behind getting results that still look like YOU.

Sometimes the best aesthetic results come from slowing down instead of rushing to do the most in one appointment. 💋

AI could never

Because this before + after didn’t come from a filter, Facetune, or one random treatment.

This is what happens when someone actually stays consistent with their facials + home care.

Like… the unsexy stuff nobody wants to hear about because it’s not instant enough for the internet 😅

Monthly appointments.
Actually washing your face at night.
Using the products.
Wearing the SPF.

Sticking with the plan long enough for your skin to finally be like: “ohhhhhh okay we’re safe now.”

And honestly? THIS is the part of aesthetics I wish more people understood.

Good skin usually IS NOT built in one appointment or one treatment alone.

It’s built in the little choices you make over time.

Which is why AI can make your skin LOOK smooth…but it can’t actually create healthy skin.

It can’t calm inflammation.
It can’t improve texture.
It can’t strengthen your barrier.

And it ddeefffinatly can’t recreate the confidence that comes from looking in the mirror and realizing you finally look rested again.

When we are talking multiple concerns, I have to slow things down and really assess what’s going to look BEST for your face… not just the smoothest.

Because relaxing the forehead with tox to smooth lines on the wrong person can potentially make the eyes feel a little heavier afterward and may make their eye lid concern worse! Which is obviously not the goal.

Often times I have to weigh all risks and benefits to come up with the best solution and sometimes that also means breaking up your treatment to approach it very strategically.

And that’s why aesthetic medicine should NEVER be cookie cutter. The same product doesn’t mean the same plan.

And a good injector isn’t just looking at lines… they’re looking at movement, balance, anatomy, and how everything works together 🫶💉
